In the pages of Marvel Comics, there are few characters with as much pure strength as Juggernaut and the Hulk. Rarely does the X-Men villain and the Avenger get beaten in fights based solely on power. And ahead of their future meeting in the pages of Juggernaut's solo series, a cover showcases just how deadly a potential rematch will be.
In a fight between the pair, the most likely outcome based on their powers is a decisive victory by Juggernaut. While the Hulk's strength and rage make him practically unbeatable, Juggernaut's defensive prowess based on the powers given to him by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak makes him near invulnerable. The pair have fought on multiple occasions in the past, with the Hulk winning when Juggernaut was depowered. When both characters are at full-strength, Juggernaut should have an advantage in their battles.
The Hulk and Juggernaut will face off in the upcoming Juggernaut miniseries from Fabian Nicieza, Ron Garney, and Geoff Shaw. The second issue will feature Juggernaut's first matchup against the Immortal Hulk. The tease for the issue suggests Cain Marko is trying to hold the Jade Giant responsible for the destruction that he has caused. However, before the match-up, a new variant cover from Mico Suayan showcases an epic battle between the Juggernaut and the Immortal Hulk.
Juggernaut appears to be taking his relationship with Damage Control to the next level, as his fight with the Hulk is surely going to cause some major destruction. That's one way to level damaged buildings - albeit, one that's more likely to cause even more of a mess than help.
The cover comes courtesy of artist Mico Suayan and is a variant exclusive to Unknown Comics. The comics retailer offers multiple versions of the cover including a virgin variant and a black and white cover. The comics can be ordered directly from their website and release on September 23, 2020 - which is the release date of Juggernaut's first issue. While the pair's battle is teased in the second issue of Juggernaut, the cover is an excellent prelude to the massive, earth-shattering fight.
