Juggernaut is an unstoppable force of pure power, who has earned his title as one of the strongest beings in the entire Marvel Universe. However, he was once given the ability to punch through reality and into other dimensions after getting a power upgrade. The now-forgotten power boost has never returned in the comics - perhaps because it made Juggernaut too strong.

The unstoppable Juggernaut has been a longtime adversary to the X-Men while also joining the team on a number of occasions. With the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Cain Marko (wearing mystic armor) is given both incredible physical strength and a nearly indestructible defensive ability. The force field created by the Gem makes Juggernaut practically invulnerable, as he's bounced off the Hulk and Thor's hammer Mjolnir in different stories. Being an unstoppable force, Marvel Comics once gave him additional powers (via possession from a dark spirit) that allowed him to break through barriers in reality. Yes, Juggernaut could punch holes through different dimensions.

In X-Men #88 by Alan Davis, Joe Casey, Mark Farmer, Marie Javins, Richard Starkings, and Wes Abbott, Charles Xavier and his mutant allies find themselves stuck in a transdimensional reality, led by the alien Ejulp, where they're unable to fully understand what they're seeing. In this bizarre, unstuck reality, the team's powers don't work as they should - either being changed entirely or heightened. Black Tom Cassidy arrives in the dimension and tells the X-Men that Marko was possessed by the Trion, who wants to control the reality. After reabsorbing a Crimson Gem after losing the original's power in the Temple of Cyttorak, Marko loses control. Tom tried to stop his friend, but Juggernaut ends up punching a hole into reality.

Juggernaut Dimension Punch

Juggernaut uses his new reality-smashing powers to punch holes through the dimensional barriers guarding the world the X-Men were transported to. Juggernaut was possessed and following orders, while trying to carry out the Trion's wishes. Thankfully, Storm manages to stop the Trion - who actually brought the X-Men to the reality to stop Juggernaut, realizing their mistake - and frees him from the spirit's hold.

With an upgraded Crimson Gem of Cyttorak and being possessed by the Trion, Juggernaut became a force so destructive he was able to punch holes in reality. For a character who's already a powerhouse in the Marvel Comics universe, Juggernaut was temporarily even more of a problem for the X-Men. It's terrifying to imagine the harm Juggernaut would have caused if he wasn't freed from Trion's hold. The possessed brute might have been the most powerful version of the character ever.
