Greer has never been a stranger to starring in franchise blockbusters, but in 2015 she officially joined the MCU as Maggie Lang in Ant-Man.

Starring opposite Paul Rudd as the titular superhero, the film follows confidence-man Scott Lang and his attempt to help his teacher Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) by shrinking in size and entering the quantum realm. Greer plays Scott's wife and mother of their young daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson).

Ant-Man And The Wasp (2018) 88%

Besting its predecessor by five percentage points, Ant-Man and the Wasp is a superior superhero sequel according to Rotten Tomatoes. The film also grossed roughly $100 million more than the previous film.

Plot-wise, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is given another near-impossible mission to save Pym's wife, Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) by reentering the quantum realm. This time, however, Scott is accompanied by Janet's daughter Hope (Evangeline Lily), aka The Wasp. Greer reprises her role as Lang's wife, Maggie.

The Descendants (2011) 89%

Winning an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, The Descendants tells the complicated story of Hawaiian landowner Matt King (George Clooney), who in the wake of his wife Elizabeth's (Patricia Hastie) near-fatal boating accident, must decide to keep or sell a large chunk of hallowed property.

Directed by Alexander Payne, King's decision is made more difficult when learning Elizabeth had an affair prior to her injury. Greer plays Julie Spier, the wife of the man Elizabeth was sleeping with, Brian Speer (Matthew Lillard).

The Cat Returns (2002) 90%

For the English-language version of Hiroyuki Morita's 2002 Japanese animated film The Cat Returns, Greer lent her voice to the role of Yuki. She was joined by cast members Anne Hathaway, Kristen Bell, Carey Elwes, Tim Curry, and more.

The film follows Haru, a 17-year-old girl who upon rescuing a cat from harm is suddenly taken to a magical land, where she becomes engaged to marry a Cat Prince. With the help of a fat cat and an old cat-statue come to life, Haru makes a daring escape from the Kingdom before it's too late.

Our Souls At Night (2017) 90%

In the romantic drama Our Souls At Night, Jane Fonda and Robert Redford play a pair of aging neighbors who find solace in each other's bedroom company following the death of their spouses.

Greer plays Holly, the daughter of Redford's character Louis Walters. While she loves her father, Holly lives to far away from him to give him the comfort he needs in his elderly age. Once Louis agrees to meet with neighbor Addie (Fonda) every night, the two forge an unlikely bond that allows them to grieve.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (2014) 90%

In Dawn, Caesar (Andy Serkis) continues his simian uprise as he leads a horde of genetically altered apes on a crusade against humanity. Greer plays Cornelia, the simian spouse of Caesar, and the mother of Blue Eyes (Nick Thurston) as well as an infant son. The film earned an Oscar nod for its excellence in Visual Effects.

Grandma (2015) 91%

In the well-received indie dramedy Grandma, Greer plays the jilted young lover of Elle (Lily Tomlin), a poet reeling from the loss of her longtime life mate.

Once Elle breaks up with Olivia (Greer), she is paid a visit by her teenage granddaughter, Sage (Julia Garner). Sage is pregnant and seeks money for an abortion, which Elle has difficulty providing. The two head out on a road trip to secure money for the operation, leading to the confrontation of Elle's ex-boyfriend Karl (Sam Elliot).

Adaptation (2002) 91%

Scripted by Charlie Kaufman, Spike Jonze's Adaptation explores the challenge of literally adapting a screenplay from a celebrated novel.

As the angst-ridden Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage) struggles to adapt Susan Orlean's (Meryl Streep) The Orchid Thief, his chipper twin brother Donald suddenly arrives to help. The meta-narrative leads to sibling rivalries, writer's block, self-examination, and a case of life imitating art. The film earned Chris Cooper an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

Three Kings (1999) 94%

In David O. Russell's screwball war comedy Three Kings, a quartet of U.S. soldiers in Kuwait set out to steal a trove of gold bullion. Once they realize the cost, their collective conscience forces them to do the right thing instead.

Gates (George Clooney), Barlow (Mark Wahlberg), Elgin (Ice Cube), and Vig (Spike Jonze) happen upon a cache of gold in the Kuwaiti desert. In an attempt to transport the treasure, they witness atrocities inflicted on the locals by the Kuwait army. Rather than enrich themselves, the soldiers decide to help the locals resist. Greer plays journalist Cathy Daitch, seen having sex with Gates at the start of the movie.

War For The Planet Of The Apes (2017) 94%

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the best movie of Judy Greer's career to date is War for the Planet of the Apes. In addition to the critical plaudits, the film earned roughly $590 million at the global grosses.

In the third entry of the blockbuster franchise, Caesar (Andy Serkis) faces his most formidable human foe yet in the form of The Colonel (Woody Harrelson). After a humbling defeat, Caesar begins to turn on his own kind, leading to an epic showdown between him and The Colonel. Like its predecessor, the film went earned an Oscar nomination for its Visual Effects.
