Stars of Counting On, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson Duggar welcome home their first baby. They called her their "beautiful miracle" baby, after Lauren had suffered a miscarriage.
Lauren was seen on the Duggar family's reality TV show, 19 Kids and Counting back in 2010 for one episode when the Swanson, who had a large family of eight, visited the Duggars. The families knew one and other and that's how Lauren and Josiah became acquainted. In December 2017, Josiah asked Lauren if she wanted to enter a courtship and the two were married by June of 2018. In February 2019, the couple announced the heartbreaking news that they had miscarried their first child back in October the previous year. The couple then revealed in May 2019 that they would be expecting their rainbow baby.
Lauren and Josiah have finally welcomed their daughter, Bella Milagro, on Friday, November, 8th. The couple revealed (via People) that they were actually preparing for a trip to attend a friend's wedding when Lauren began showing signs of labor. Josiah explained,"She started feeling really sick and started noticing some different things. Mrs. Swanson was there, so she was able to help her out. I didn’t know exactly what was going on." According to the couple, Lauren's labor was "long and difficult," but one they "finally got to see and hold out precious Bella Milagro, all the pain instantly went away." The proud parents gushed over their new addition, saying, "We can't believe she's ours - she's so perfect!" Bella arrived weighing 6 lbs., 9 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. Since suffering a miscarriage last October, the couple named their rainbow baby, Bella Milagro, which means "beautiful miracle." The couple said, "She definitely has lived up to her name." They continued, "Today we are basking in God’s goodness!" The couple captioned their photo of their new Duggar baby, "Look who’s here!" They finished the post, writing, "Our hearts are so full! We are so thankful for God blessings us with such a healthy baby girl!" The parents revealed that they are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives as parents.
It has been a very difficult journey for Lauren and Josiah since their miscarriage, but it seems that their rainbow baby has taken away that sadness and made them parents. The Duggar grandchildren continue to grow as Kendra and Joseph Duggar just welcomed their first child, Addison Rene Duggar, just one week before. One thing is for sure, Bella will definitely have plenty of cousins to play with as she grows older.
