Following her recent elimination, singer Jordin Sparks is reflecting on the real reason she joined the Dancing With The Stars cast after turning down the opportunity in the past. Jordin was paired with pro partner Brandon Armstrong for season 31 of the dancing competition. The duo was progressing quite well throughout the season up until their recent elimination.

Jordin and Brandon were eliminated at the conclusion of Dancing With The Stars Halloween Night. The singer later took to Instagram to reflect on her dancing journey. In her recent post, Jordin explained the real reason she joined the show this year. She wrote, "The real reason why I decided to finally do @DancingWithTheStars….To do something that scared me." The thought of competing on Dancing With The Stars was always intimidating to Jordin. Now, it is something she can look back on and be proud of.

Although this was the first time Jordin accepted the opportunity, this was not the first time she was offered a spot in the dancing competition. In the post, Jordin continued on to explain that Dancing With The Stars had asked her to be on the show multiple times in the past; however, this is the first time she felt comfortable accepting the opportunity. Jordin turned down DWTS in the past simply due to fear. Now, she is beaming with pride after succeeding in this "fulfilling experience."

Despite not making it to the end of the competition, Jordin is very thankful for the opportunity and time she had on the show, so much so that she is even planning on continuing to take ballroom dance lessons outside the show. Jordin is thankful for every person that was a part of her Dancing With The Stars journey, from her cast mates to the hair and makeup team to the judges and even production. She is especially grateful for her pro partner and new lifelong friend Brandon. Jordin has even found a silver lining in her DWTS journey coming to an end as she can finally get some rest and spend time with her family.

Jordin is the eighth star to leave the ballroom so far this season. As the group of stars remaining in the competition begins to dwindle down, the Mirror Ball Trophy is in sight. The dancing duos will have to work twice as hard in the coming weeks if they want to make it to the Dancing With The Stars finale.
