Dancing with the Stars season 31 contestant and platinum recording artist Jordin Sparks was eliminated from the competition during Halloween Night, but she has expressed that she would love to host the show, and fans agree that she would be the perfect fit for a future season. The American Idol season 6 winner and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated when they were in the bottom two on Halloween Night along with Heidi D'Amelio and her DWTS partner, Artem Chigvintsev. The judges had a difficult time deciding between the two couples, as both have come very far in the competition. Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli voted to save Jordin and Brandon, but Carrie Ann Inaba wanted to keep Heidi and Artem, along with Len Goodman. As head judge, Len's vote counts twice, so Jordin and Brandon were sent home.

However, in an interview with TV Insider, Jordin revealed that, although she was eliminated from DWTS, she has many ideas for how she could return to the ballroom, including as a future host of the reality competition. Brandon shared that if it were up to him, Jordin would be included on the DWTS 2023 tour. He said, "We’d be leaving on tour tonight but … that’s not my job. I’m not a producer. I know the fans coming to see the show would love to see Jordin." Jordin added that she would love to "drop by [the tour] and support everyone."

Jordin Sparks Would Love To Be The Host Of Dancing With The Stars

Brandon also said that he and Jordin "had a discussion with someone very influential to the show" about Jordin returning to sing on DWTS. He added, "I don’t know if we’re allowed to say a lot but I will say, 'Keep your ears open as well as your eyes.'" Jordin said, "You know what? If they call and ask, I’d love to." She then shared, "I’d also love to be a host on this show. It would be so fun to host [Dancing with the Stars]. I look at Tyra [Banks] and Alfonso [Ribeiro] and I think to myself, 'I’d love to host this show!'" Jordin also revealed that she will be back for the DWTS finale, saying, "They have to make me a new outfit!"

Although the dynamic duo of Tyra and Alfonso have been doing a wonderful job hosting DWTS season 31, Jordin would be an ideal choice to follow in their footsteps. She is no stranger to the pressures of live television, as she performed on and won American Idol at the young age of 17. She has been the guest host of many television events, including the American Music Awards red carpet special, E! News, Fashion Police, and The View. Jordin's experience on Broadway in musicals such as In the Heights and Waitress has also prepared her for the challenges of performing live on DWTS, including having to improvise if things do not go according to plan. Jordin's elimination won't slow her down.

Jordin has a sweet and bubbly personality that entertains without being overpowering. She is personable and humorous in her DWTS interviews and would be fantastic as a host. She could open the show with a song and then seamlessly move into introducing the episode. Jordin would light up the ballroom with her effervescent personality, bright smile, and many incredible talents. She is a true star, and she will hopefully have the chance to host DWTS in a future season.
