Jordana Barnes' future on Siesta Key is unclear now that she's distancing herself from the show after the latest episode. Jordana debuted on the series when her friend Sam Logan hired her to paint a portrait of his then-girlfriend Juliette Porter. Juliette was suspicious of her intentions with Sam, and on an island getaway, Jordana joked she wanted to make out with him. On Siesta Key: Miami Moves, Jordana's friends think she might have stronger feelings for Sam than she'll admit. The two live together and even kissed at a party in front of Meghan Bischoff, who Sam had been dating for months.

Unfortunately, Jordana didn't like the recent Siesta Key episode where her friends accused her of having feelings for Sam, and she vowed to separate herself from the show. In an Instagram story reshared by Instagram user @mtv_reality_teaa, Jordana wrote, "don't expect any more posting for the show. I'll never be portrayed for who I truly am & I'm done repping it. Expect more art & some selfies." She then added another story, writing, "I'm so over this sh**." She also took the show out of her Instagram bio. Jordana responded to a fan who commented on the post taking her side and thanked them for having her back. However, other fans felt that she causes drama for screen time and agrees to be on the show, so they're not sure what she's upset about.

Juliette and Jordana have squashed their beef since Juliette and Sam are no longer dating. Juliette's since admitted she really likes Jordana and thinks there are many layers to her that aren't showcased on Siesta Key. However, she's also admitted that she thinks Jordana showcased a less favorable side of herself on the show because she knew it would get her more screen time. Former Siesta Key star Camilla Cattaneo also accused Jordana of creating drama so that she could become a main cast member on the series.

It's typical for reality shows to only edit their stars in a way that will bring attention to the series. Similar to how Laguna Beach framed Kristin Cavallari as the villain and Lauren Conrad as the relatable good girl, Jordana is the anti-hero on Siesta Key. In the episode, the star was frustrated with the accusations her friends were throwing at her. It's understandable why she felt hurt watching it back, especially when the show seems to be on her friends' side.

However, Jordana has given her Siesta Key costars a reason to believe she likes Sam more than a friend. If her kissing him at his party wasn't enough, she often sleeps in his bed and acts flirty with him all over social media. Fans aren't wrong to question why she's surprised about the narrative Siesta Key has given her when she actively fuels the fires. It's unclear if Jordana is leaving the show for good or just taking a break from promoting it on social media, though it might be good for her mentality if she steps away from the cameras.
