To celebrate Star Wars40th anniversary, a collection of short stories written by forty celebrated authors, titled From a Certain Point of View, will commemorate four decades, ten feature films, and a nearly endless slew of characters within George Lucas' galaxy far, far away. What's more is that the audiobook will feature top-tier narrators, including Jon Hamm (Baby Driver, Mad Men) as the rogue bounty hunter, Boba Fett.

This collection of short stories covers a wide gamut of Star Wars lore - tackling everything and everyone from Captain Antilles from Rogue One to Aunt Beru's quiet life on Tatooine. As a whole, each story will focus primarily on supporting characters, rather than main characters. Some authors who incorporated their own stories include Wil Wheaton (the actor and self-professed geek from Stand by Me), Meg Cabot (The Princess Diaries), and even Lucasfilm Story Group's own Pablo Hidalgo.

Produced by Aaron Blank and Nick Martorelli, the audiobook will feature an impressive pedigree of voice talents, with the most recognizable voices belonging to Hamm, as well as Neil Patrick Harris, who will voice an Imperial Officer stationed inside the Death Star. The other voice actors include: Jonathan Davis, Ashley Eckstein, Janina Gavankar, January LaVoy, Saskia Maarleveld, Carol Monda, Daniel José Older, and Marc Thompson.

In an interview with StarWars.com, Blank and Martorelli explained why they felt the voice talents included in the audiobook was so important to them. Blank also explained the benefits of short stories versus full length novels when it comes to attracting certain actors to this sort of project:

Star Wars From a Certain Point of View

"We got lucky this time in From a Certain Point of View with all the multiple first person points of view. In addition to multiple perspectives, short stories mean a small time commitment in the recording studio, and that enabled us to pursue some big names! We know some of these readers — like Jon Hamm (reading as Boba Fett) and Neil Patrick Harris (reading about an Imperial officer in the Death Star) — might not be available for an entire audiobook, but we were able to bring them on board for this project."

He also touched on the fact that the Star Wars appeal isn't only limited to audiences, but the talent behind the scenes as well:

"I’m always impressed by audiobook narrators’ commitment to being fans, and feel that such dedication comes through in the quality of their performances. Marc Thompson is a die-hard fan, so much so that he has enough Star Wars T-shirts to wear a different one to each day of recording!"
