Joker: First Official Look at Zazie Beetz's Character Revealed

The first official look at Zazie Beetz in Joker is here, along with more leaked set photos. It's been a busy week for Warner Bros. and DC's first "Elseworlds" movie. Joaquin Phoenix is set to star in Joker as the Clown Prince of Crime, which will tell a unique origin story for the character. The Hangover's Todd Phillips is directing the movie, and is already in the process of doing so, as filming began this week. Thanks to the New York City shoot, there's already been several leaks, so Phillips is trying to stay a step ahead by releasing official looks too.

The perfect example of this is Phillips revealing the first official look at Phoenix in clown make-up as part of a camera test video. Not long after, set videos and photos made their way online that showed Phoenix in full Joker costume. In his latest effort to get official images out, he's now shared a look at Zazie Beetz.

Phillips shared the first official look at Zazie Beetz in Joker on his Instagram today. Based on the previous images, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the image basically looks like a regular photo of Beetz. There's no additional information given about her character, but that's where the latest leaks come into play. Just Jared shared set photos of Beetz filming scenes with Phoenix. See Phillips' official look below, and then click the link to see the set photos.

When it was first reported that Deadpool 2 and Atlanta star Beetz would be joining Joker, it was said that she'd be playing a single mother in the film. She'll reportedly be the subject of Joker's interest. The attention she'll receive from him is already on display in the set photos too. The scene that was photographed reportedly saw Joker chasing her, but the images make it look like this is a case of stalking. He's admiring her from afar for now, but his curiosity has definitely piqued.

With this being the first look at Beetz, additional photos of her filming Joker are likely still to come. The movie appears to have become the focus for NYC's entire paparazzi scene, based on the amount of different looks that continue to surface. Phoenix and Beetz are the only stars to receive official images so far, but Phillips may be forced to release more if other characters continue to be revealed.
