Spoilers for DC vs. Vampires #10Punchline is getting called out by Harley Quinn, as Joker's former partner is calling out his girlfriend for copying her and not being original. In DC vs. Vampires #10, Harley and Punchline are forced to work together, where the antihero calls out Joker's newest partner for being a knock-off version of herself. While Harley Quinn's anger is justified, Punchline isn't just a copy of the former villain.

Punchline debuted in the pages of DC Comics a few years ago, but the new villain has made a big impact in the DC Universe. Joker's latest girlfriend assisted the Clown Prince of Crime during the Joker War and helped him nearly succeed in taking over Gotham City for good. During the event, Punchline sparred with Harley Quinn as the reformed villain gained a new rival after meeting Alexis Kaye's dark persona. With Punchline showing staying power, even recently starring in a new solo series, Harley Quinn is finally calling her out for copying her past.

In DC vs. Vampires #10 by James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, Otto Schmidt, and Tom Napolitano from DC Comics, the surviving heroes encounter a vampire version of Punchline, who Harley Quinn isn't happy to see. After Quinn calls her out for working with Dick Grayson, the king of vampires, Punchline explains that she isn't helping Nightwing but instead is running the black market in Gotham City. That's when Harley Quinn calls out Punchline for not having an "original thought in that head of yours" as she calls Joker's girlfriend "the worst."

Is Punchline A Copy of Harley Quinn?

Punchline vs. Harley Quinn Joker's Girlfriend

While Punchline is another clown-themed villain who has become the Joker's new girlfriend, she's not a copy of Harley Quinn, despite the antihero saying she's unoriginal. Yes, Alexis Kaye was manipulated by Joker, but she is much more sadistic than Harley ever was, as Punchline embraced villainy before joining forces with him. She was obsessed with Joker as a college student and was thrilled to kill alongside him. Harley Quinn and Punchline are ultimately victims of Joker, but the latter has more agency when deciding to be with him.

Ultimately, Punchline might not be the most original character to pair alongside the Joker. Still, despite Harley Quinn calling her out, she's different enough from her that she isn't a carbon copy. Of course, Joker's girlfriend shares similarities with Harley Quinn, but at the end of the day, Punchline has established herself as a much more dangerous and bloodthirsty villain than the reformed former partner of the Clown Prince of Crime and earned her place in the DC Universe. DC vs. Vampires #10 by DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
