Suicide Squad's Joker and Harley Quinn are back together again, thanks to Germany's Olympic figure skating team, and viewers had some hilarious reactions. The 2022 Winter Olympics have begun in Beijing, China, with some events beginning before the opening ceremony took place on February 4. One of these events was the Rhythm Dance division for Ice Dancing, which often offers the Olympic athletes the opportunity to show their personalities.

Katharina Muller and Tim Dieck from Germany's Olympic team took the opportunity to do just that when they performed their program while dressed as the Joker and Harley Quinn. The Joker and Harley Quinn were introduced to the DCEU in David Ayer's 2016 Suicide Squad, but in her next DCEU appearance, Harley Quinn was learning to live without the Joker in Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Despite the Joker's absence in Harley Quinn's latest movie, The Suicide Squad, Muller and Dieck reunited the couple on the ice.

NBC Sports posted the whole routine for viewers to rewatch on Youtube. The German team's DCEU-inspired dance begins with Dieck dressed as the Joker pretending to snap Muller's neck as she's dressed as Harley Quinn, and among the songs included in the program is Britney Spear's Toxic. The announcer sums up his feelings about the routine, saying "It's an aggressive start there." Unfortunately, the judges didn't share Muller and Dieck's love for DC, and the duo placed last in the event. Check out their full routine and some of the reactions from Twitter below:

Needless to say, the viewers' reactions to the German figure skating duo were mixed, and Twitter was full of comments, including one from the official account for DC's animated series, Harley Quinn. Some commenters loved the routine, happy that Dieck and Muller seemed to be having fun and were fully invested in their characters. One Twitter user even loved the combination so much that they said to "give them all the golds." Others were not so enthused with the choices made to perform as Harley and the Joker. These tweets ranged from utter bafflement to second-hand embarrassment for the German team's rhythm dance program with many expressing that they can't imagine deciding to cosplay as DCEU characters for the Olympics.

For both Muller and Dieck, this Olympic Games is their first, and the duo really showed off who they are. The Joker and Harley Quinn's relationship is often pointed at for being toxic, and the German team acknowledged this with their tongue-in-cheek inclusion of Britney Spears' song into their program. Unfortunately, the team won't be giving any more performances this Olympic Games, but their first routine will definitely be remembered.
