Ever since the conclusion of the animated series Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind in October 2019, fans have been speculating about when the sixth part of Hirohiko Araki's manga will be animated. A Part 6 anime has officially been announced, including a lead voice actress, but there are still many questions about when and how a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime will be released. But all indications are that the upcoming season will follow in the footsteps of the well-received adaptations that preceded it.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was a cult manga series, largely unknown in the West, until the release of David Production's anime series beginning in 2012. The series has so far encompassed five seasons with over 100 episodes and a spin-off series, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, recently released on Netflix. The anime has helped the JoJo's franchise attain worldwide popularity, and Stone Ocean will look to continue this success while introducing a different type of hero.
