Murder on the Orient Express is a mystery thriller directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on Agatha Christie's 1934 novel of the same name. The cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, and others. A sequel was recently announced that will be based on Christie's other novel Death on the Nile.

The story follows the world-renowned detective Hercule Poirot who happens to be on a train where a murder is committed. Naturally, he decides to try and solve the case and find the murderer among the passengers.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - $475 million

Helena Bonham Carter, another frequent collaborator of Burton's, also stars in the film.

The classic story follows the boy Charlie who wins discovers a golden ticket in a chocolate bar produced by Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The four lucky kids who discovered the tickets, Charlie among them, are welcomed to the factory where Wonka shows them the mysteries of his company.

There are three main protagonists of the story: Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) as well as the main antagonist Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). Jack and Will team up to rescue Elizabeth from Barbossa and his crew of undead pirates.

This time, he searches for the Trident of Poseidon which is an artifact that is said to be able to lift pretty much any curse. Jack is actually helping Henry Turner, Will and Elizabeth's son who wants to free Will from the Flying Dutchman with the Trident's help.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) - $814 million

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the first movie in the Harry Potter spin-off franchise as mentioned earlier. For the majority of the film, Grindelwald appears to be disguised as Percival Graves and reveals himself only at the end which is the cameo Depp had.

The film was nominated for five BAFTAs winning Best Production Design and two Academy Awards winning Best Costume Design. This made it the first Wizarding World movie to win an Academy Award.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is the third film in the franchise. Originally, there was supposed to be just one movie - then, a trilogy was planned which means this was supposed to be the last installment. It was also nominated for two Academy Awards.

Will, Elizabeth, and Barbossa set out to rescue Jack from Davy Jones' Locker and then fight Cutler Beckett and the East India Trading Company that is trying to destroy piracy once and for all. At the time of its release, it was the most expensive film ever made. At the moment, adjusted for inflation, it is the fifth most expensive film ever made.
