In the battle of John Wick vs The Punisher, who would win? The Punisher made his debut as a villain in a Spider-Man comic, before later earning his own solo series. The Punisher is former marine Frank Castle, who wages a bloody battle against criminals of all descriptions, with the character being somewhat inspired by the popularity of 1974's Death Wish. The vigilante has earned three movies and a TV show thus far, with Dolph Lundgren, Tom Jane, Ray Stevenson and Jon Bernthal all donning the skull; well, not in the case of Lundgren.

John Wick is a 2014 action movie where Keanu Reeves plays the title character, an infamous ex-hitman who goes on a killing spree when his puppy - a gift from his late wife - is killed during a home invasion. The movie provided a major comeback for Reeves and featured some truly exhilarating action and a surprisingly involved mythology. Reeves has returned for two sequels, with the character's popularity only seeming to increase with each entry. The fourth movie is scheduled for release in 2022.

The Punisher and John Wick are two antiheroes with somewhat similiar MOs, being ex-Marines who utilize a variety of firearms and hand to hand combat skills to take down foes by the dozens. The difference between the two is that John is somewhat sane and would much rather leave the bloodshed behind, but for the last two movies, he just sinks deeper and deeper. Frank Castle, on the flipside, is somewhat insane and is perfectly happy to wage a never-ending war. So when it comes to John Wick Vs The Punisher, who walks away?

It's really a case of the unstoppable force meets the immovable objects between The Punisher and John Wick, so the only fair measurement comes down to pure maths. They both - to date - have three movies, so let's look at their respective bodycounts. In the first John Wick the title character kills 77, in Chapter 2 he scores 128 and in the third movie he racks up 85. For The Punisher, the Lundgren version claimed 54, Tom Jane's Castle scored a modest 23 while Ray Stevenson picked up the pace with 87 total fatalities.

So John Wick has a total bodycount of 290 across three movies while The Punisher has 164. That said, Lundgren's Punisher is clearly stated to have claimed 125 bad guys before the movie starts, which would push it 289. So they're essentially equally deadly and have used a combination of guns, knives, paper cutters, a book and a pencil to fight evil. Technically, when it comes to John Wick vs The Punisher, the former wins based on the numbers, but in an actual fight, the outcome would be less clear - but almost certainly very bloody.
