Incredible new photos provide a first look at the forthcoming John Wick roller coaster ride. The John Wick franchise started in 2014 with Chad Stahelski's eponymous action thriller film. The movie's critical and commercial success led to the release of John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum. In addition, John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently slated for a May 2022 premiere date, and John Wick 5 has already been confirmed.

The John Wick movies center around Keanu Reeves' titular character. The assassin starts his journey in the first film after Russian mobster Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen) kills John's beloved dog, Daisy. Since then, John Wick has had one adventure after another. More specifically, from the iconic Red Circle shootout to the Parabellum antique store fight, the John Wick films are nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

It seems that Lionsgate has decided to take this form of expression quite literally, with Variety providing a first look at Motiongate Theme Park's John Wick roller coaster in Dubai. The ride, which will be called "John Wick: Open Contract," will open to the public in early 2021. One exciting component is the ride's interactive experience, where visitors can choose to either help the assassin or hunt him. In addition, guests will be able to queue in an area modeled off the Continental Hotel while they wait to board the 10-story high roller coaster. You can check out more details about the ride from Lionsgate executive vice president Jenefer Brown below, as well as a cool first-look image:

“I think what’s going to be amazing for fans is to have the opportunity to walk through the lobby of the Continental and experience different key moments in the settings that took place in the films. This attraction in particular is really about setting the story by putting people in this very immersive environment, and then you really get the action as you get on the coaster. It’s 10 stories high, so there’s definitely a level of intensity that’s befitting of the ‘John Wick franchise that guests will experience.”

It's particularly fitting that the John Wick roller coaster plans on highlighting the Continental Hotel. The first two John Wick movies portrayed the Continental as a chain of hotels that act as neutral ground for assassins. However, Parabellum went into much more detail, and viewers discovered that the New York Continental harbored a secret war room stocked with weapons, relics, armor, and more. In short, the Continental hotels are much more than neutral territory; instead, they also allow killers to monitor and dictate violence around the world. With spinoff show The Continental in development, it seems fans will have plenty of chances to learn more about the hotel chain's mysterious history. That being said, visiting Motiongate Theme Park's John Wick roller coaster would certainly be the cherry on top.

The John Wick franchise excels when it comes to world-building, and the forthcoming roller coaster is just one example of this. From the jaw-dropping action sequences to the oddly charming lead, John Wick has continued to win over viewers. To that end, the John Wick roller coaster could bring in a lot of money to Motiongate Theme Park, but fans in the US may have a hard time traveling to visit the attraction;
