As one of the year’s most anticipated movies, John Wick: Chapter 2 did not disappoint. It was everything you loved about the 2014 original film and then some. The mythology was deepened and the world of The Continental was explored in greater detail, taking fans further inside the world of assassins than ever. Best of all, it gave us plenty more examples of how truly awesome John Wick is.

Keanu Reeves’ (The Matrix) return as The Baba Yaga was hailed by fans and critics around the world upon its release last February as the rare sequel that lived up to its predecessor. With an off-the-charts kill count and beautiful choreography, Chapter 2 solidified John Wick as a powerhouse franchise with no hint of slowing down. Now, you’ve finally got the chance to bring the world’s most dangerous assassin into your home. The impending release of John Wick: Chapter 2 on home entertainment platforms has kicked the marketing train into high gear, and to celebrate they’ve released new content for fans to enjoy.

A new video featuring Peter Stormare (American Gods) reprising his role as Abram Tarsov has been released, reminding you why it’s a bad idea to ever mess with John Wick (as if you needed a refresher). Playing out as a sort of greatest hits collection of Wick’s most intense moments, the new video invites you to take a blood oath to pre-order a copy John Wick: Chapter 2, which you can do online, and which opens up even more content from Stormare and invites you to a Facebook live stream on May 23 to celebrate the streaming release.

The home release of John Wick: Chapter 2 is a must have for fans of the series. Featuring over three hours of bonus footage and features, including a kill count video and behind the scenes looks at the making of the film, you’ll be taken even deeper into the world created by director Chad Stahelski and writer Derek Kolstad (Deadpool 2). Reeves and Stahelski also provide commentary for the film.

The Facebook live event coincides with John Wick: Chapter 2’s release on digital platforms, though it’s not exactly clear what to expect. It’s billed as a tribute to the Tarsov men John Wick killed across both movies, and Stormare promises it will be long, though no further details are given. More and more, Facebook live is used as a platform for Q&As with audiences, exclusive interviews, and big announcements -- any of which are possible here.

Even if we take it at face value and assume it’ll be an actual tribute to the fallen Tarsov men, it should still be an interesting and fun way for fans to dig deeper into the world of John Wick. Let’s face it, watching footage of Wick taking on scores of assassins is fun even without context, and if the stream ends up being that then that’s fine too.

Either way, The Baba Yaga is coming. On your DVD shelf is probably the only way you’d want to find John Wick in your home, and, thankfully, he’ll be there soon.

John Wick: Chapter 2 will be available on digital platforms on May 23. The 4k HD, Blu-ray, and DVD will be available June 13.
