Bill Skarsgård explains exactly who the new villain in John Wick: Chapter 4 is. The John Wick franchise follows Wick, a skilled assassin, as he desperately tries to find a way to retirement after the death of his wife. When his beloved puppy is killed, he is thrown back into the fray and needs to face off against the High Table to earn his opportunity to finally rest.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is unleashing its universe by adding a wide range of new characters to the series. With Wick meeting new friends and new enemies, a number of familiar faces are being added to the movie, including IT's Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgård. In an interview with Total Film, Skarsgård explains exactly who his character, Marquis de Gramont, really is. Check out his quote (via CBR):

I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savours the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all."
Everything We Know About John Wick: Chapter 4
With Wick facing off against the High Table, the action in John Wick: Chapter 4 is going to be off the charts. Wick will have to fight old friends and companions who may be more loyal to the High Table than him, which can pose a serious danger for the once-retired assassin. Set up by the ending of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, John Wick: Chapter 4 will pick off right where the previous movie left off.
The project will be around 150 minutes long and filled with fights, shootouts, and political maneuvering against the High Table. While there has not yet been confirmation of John Wick: Chapter 5, the success of previous iterations makes it practically inevitable. Unfortunately, John Wick: Chapter 4 was delayed several times, due to issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, which could have contributed to why the announcement of John Wick: Chapter 5 has been so slow to come.
There are many new characters coming in John Wick: Chapter 4, with Marquis de Gramont chief among them. Joining him are Caine (Donnie Yen), Shimazu (Hiroyuki Sanada), Katia (Natalia Tena), The Tracker (Shamier Anderso), The Harbinger (Clancy Brown), Killa (Scott Adkins), and Akira (Rina Sawayama). The project will give Wick the opportunity to prove himself once again as the greatest assassin in the world, though he would much prefer to end John Wick: Chapter 4 a free man, even if Marquis de Gramont would prefer to see him dead.
