The John Wick: Chapter 4 Twitter account trolls fans by teasing an alternate ending of the film that reveals that Keanu Reeves' assassin actually has a daughter. Released earlier this spring to strong reviews and an impressive showing at the box office, John Wick: Chapter 4 continues the story of Reeves' titular hitman as he attempts to take down the High Table. The film's ending was the subject of some debate, with Wick seemingly succumbing to his wounds after killing the Marquis (Bill Skarsgård). Now, the official John Wick: Chapter 4 Twitter account shares the ultimate troll, suggesting that an ending in which audiences meet John's daughter was shot, even including a supposed link to the scene. Check out the tweet below:

When one clicks the link, however, no such alternate John Wick: Chapter 4 ending exists, with the link instead taking viewers to a ten-hour video of Reeves' assassin falling down the stairs. The troll is part of some fun that the account has been having over the last day or so, with repeated links to and references to Wick's epic tumble down the stairs. You can watch the stair-fall video below:

John Wick Having A Daughter Isn’t Actually A Bad Idea

The Ballerina in John Wick 3.

While the way in which the ending was filmed does mean it's possible that Reeves' assassin could potentially return for John Wick: Chapter 5, both star and director Chad Stahelski have suggested that Wick really is dead and that the fourth film ends the mainline franchise. If that is the case and Reeves won't be returning to the role (beyond his cameo in Ballerina, which takes place before John Wick: Chapter 4), then revealing that he has a daughter could be an interesting way to continue the franchise.

Wick's daughter could be estranged, potentially choosing to separate herself from her father in order to avoid dealings with his assassin lifestyle. This would also explain why she was never mentioned in any of the previous films. A spinoff movie focusing on Wick's daughter could then follow the character as she is sucked into this world against her will, potentially becoming a target of someone from her father's past.

While John undoubtedly would have given her some fight training as a kid, a spinoff could see the character as more inexperienced when it comes to killing. Instead of featuring her mowing down hundreds of enemies, the movie could act as more of an origin story, telling a smaller-scale, more personal story in which she starts to develop her skills as a young assassin. Outside of Ballerina and spinoff show The Continental, it's unclear how the franchise will continue after John Wick: Chapter 4, but revealing that John has a daughter may not actually be a terrible idea.
