The John Wick Franchise's Most Difficult Stunts

John rides through New York on a horse in John Wick 3

The BTS video of the John Wick 4 escalator stunt is making waves soon after Reeves revealed which of the franchise's stunts were the most difficult to film. One of his answers was John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum's scene that saw him riding a horse down Fifth Avenue in New York City. The particular stunt saw several different departments collaborating together, from horse training experts and rig operators, to hold Reeves in place, all while working closely with the Humane Society to adhere to animal safety laws on set.

While Reeves does many of his own stunts for the John Wick series, he's never attempted anything as dangerous as this escalator stunt. The back-breaking stunt, which has been viewed online over 50 million times, has sparked a discussion about adding a stunts category to the Oscars in order for performers to receive the recognition they deserve. Just like each installment in the action series, John Wick: Chapter 4 is upping the ante in terms of its stunts, and this jaw-dropping escalator tumble is a prime example of that.
