Lionsgate revealed brand-new footage from John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum during its CinemaCon presentation. Keanu Reeves reprises his role as John Wick for the third time in the film, which could end up serving as a conclusion to the franchise at large. The movie picks up immediately after the conclusion to Chapter 2, with John excommunicated from the Continental and on the run with a $14 million bounty on his head. His back up against the wall, John must battle pretty much every other assassin in the world and even bring the fight to the High Table itself, if he's to have any hope of making it out alive.

As a result, Parabellum will feature several newcomers to the John Wick series, including Angelica Huston as the Director of the High Table and Halle Berry as Sofia, an old "friend" of John's who begrudgingly agrees to help him. Ian McShane is also back for the film as Winston, along with Lance Reddick as the Continental concierge Charon, and Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King. However, for its CinemaCon panel, Lionsgate screened a sequence that specifically focuses on John and Sofia's dynamic in the movie.

During Lionsgate's CinemaCon presentation, they screened a clip that showed John and Sofia preparing to infiltrate a castle. The clip featured footage from the original John Wick 3 trailer, as John tells Sofia they're not going in "like the old days" and he just wants a "conversation" with their target (to which Sofia responds "Nothing's ever just a conversation with you, John"). From there, the pair are shown taking on a whole lot of armed men in what looks like a bazaar, with Sofia's trained German Shepherds providing some backup along the way.

The footage included a pretty elaborate sequence shot that follows John and the two dogs are they take out one guard after another, but on multiple levels of the building they're in. At one point, Sofia even has her dogs bail John out when he gets delayed wrestling with one of the guards along the way. Finally, the clip concluded with a moment where John is fighting two other guys when they all run out of ammunition at the same time. John, of course, is the fastest to reload and takes them both out with headshots, before taking out a surprise third guard who suddenly shows up on the nearby stairs.

All in all, the CinemaCon footage delivered exactly what fans are expecting from this film - namely, lots of kinetic action, stylized filmmaking, and John Wick taking out bad guys via headshots. It also sounds like Sofia and her dogs will end up being scene-stealers in the film, as they work in tandem to help John kill a whole lot of people and make his way to the top of the High Table. If all goes according to plan, the movie will combine the world-building from the previous John Wick films with a storyline that offers some closure to John's journey over the trilogy. Series director Chad Stahelski has already teased the possibility of more sequels after Parabellum but, for the time being, it seems like John Wick: Chapter 3 should work as a fittingly violent conclusion to the overall series.
