John Wick 3 has a brand new cast member with Wonder Woman's Said Taghmaoui. Though it's unclear who he'll be playing at the moment, he's already in the middle of filming on location alongside John Wick's lead, Keanu Reeves.
Following the success of both John Wick and John Wick: Chapter Two, John Wick: Chapter 3 will follow the titular ex-hitman as he uses his dangerous skillset to ward off threats from the criminal underworld. With the third entry in the series, director Chad Stahelski is back to direct Reeves in the title role (he co-directed the first movie with David Leitch, then was sole director on the sequel), but John Wick: Chapter 3 has added plenty of new faces to the roster, including Halle Berry, who joined the cast last May. Now, Said Taghmaoui - who starred as Sameer in Wonder Woman - is also gearing up for action in an unknown role.
Taghmaoui revealed on his official Twitter page that he has not only joined the cast of John Wick: Chapter 3, but is already in the middle of filming. He shared two photos on his account - one of which is a shot of a desert in Morocco, while the other is a selfie featuring both himself and Reeves on a break during filming with the caption, "Coming soon." The first photo also includes a chair that may confirm the film's official logo, though it's unclear whether or not this is simply the working logo used during production.
Lionsgate found a brand new action franchise with the first film, courtesy of highly-acclaimed action set pieces, impressive shootout choreography, and stellar fight sequences, and each filmed has managed to attract a vast array of on-camera talent one entry after the next. Taghmaoui is one of many familiar faces joining the cast of John Wick: Chapter 3. Along with Berry joining the movie last spring, Laurence Fishburne and Ian McShane are returning as Bowery King and Winston, respectively, with Anjelica Huston and Jason Mantzoukas rounding out the threequel's impressive lineup.
As for Taghmaoui, there are currently no details on who he will be playing, nor whether or not he will be one of John Wick's allies or foes. Much of the plot for John Wick: Chapter 3 follows John on the run as a community of assassins pursues him, so, given the massive headcount of adversaries that will be featured in the film, it's possible that Taghmaoui will turn out to be one of many deadly contract killers. That said, it's also possible that he is playing one of the few friends that Wick actually has left.
