John Cena’s animated sci-fi comedy series Dallas and Robo is now heading to Syfy in August. The wrestler turned actor John Cena has made quite the transition to Hollywood in recent years. In 2021 his role in The Suicide Squad has a box office collision with fellow former wrestler Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise. Cena's also set to appear in F9 due in theaters in April. The WWE superstar also dabbled in voice acting, which includes his 2018 YouTube Premium adult animated comedy series Dallas and Robo, co-starring Kat Dennings. The interstellar big rig operator, Dallas (Dennings), and her mechanical co-pilot/BFF Robo (Cena) have a new home on television.

Yesterday, Syfy announced that they are ready for a “mutha truckin’ good time with its acquisition of DALLAS AND ROBO, starring Cena and Kat Dennings!” The 8-episode half-hour series will begin its “first-ever cable run” on Saturday, August 8, at “midnight-ish” during Syfy’s TZGZ late-night animation block. In addition to that, the series ( created by Mike Roberts) will also be available on SYFY ON Demand. Check out Syfy’s Dallas and Robo teaser trailer:

The announcement of Cena’s animated series joining the TZGZ animation block is one of many, as Syfy also announced that on Friday, July 24, at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT during a Comic-Con@Home panel, Syfy’s TZGZ will "present four new original series’. Dallas and Robo is a fun addition to the late-night animation block as it has an impressive cast beyond just Cena and Dennings. Also, considering Cena’s original 2020 film release, F9 is delayed until next year, Dallas and Robo getting a run on cable is almost a small substitute for that.

Synopsis: "Dallas and Robo is a space-trucking comedy following the misadventures of foul-mouthed ex-stock car racer Dallas (Dennings) and her ass-kickin' artificially intelligent good buddy, Robo (Cena). Together, they navigate their way around cannibal bikers, rival space truckers, and vending machine burritos as they try to make a buck in the seedy world of interplanetary big rigging."
