Despite Kariselle being sent on a date with Too Hot To Handle resident bad boy Chase DeMoor and even sharing a kiss with him, Kariselle and Joey consistently chose each other when it came time to match up. Because of their commitment to each other, a primary question is whether the East Coast couple is still going strong.
During the first episode of Perfect Match season 1, Joey revealed that he had been in a relationship with Kariselle after winning The Circle season 1. However, they later broke up due to his commitment issues. Perhaps more surprisingly, Joey also admitted he had hooked up with Too Hot To Handle's Francesca Farago, arguably the villain on Perfect Match. Although they seemed awkward initially, Kariselle and Joey clearly had chemistry and upped their communication skills. Apart from Kariselle’s minor departure with Chase, the two remained entirely committed to each other through all twelve episodes of Perfect Match.
Joey Sasso Proposed To Kariselle Snow On Perfect Match
On the last episode of Perfect Match, the final five couples spent the day on a private, romantic date with their alleged perfect match. Out of the four couples’ dates, some ended with an admission of uncertainty and others with professions of love, including Too Hot To Handle's Georgia Hassarati and Perfect Match fan favorite Dom Gabriel. However, nothing matched Kariselle and Joey’s date. On a rooftop with the jungles of Panama in the background, Kariselle and Joey discussed their growth. After celebrating how far they had come, Joey began to shower Kariselle with praise and slowly got down on one knee. Kariselle immediately began to cry and accepted Joey’s proposal. When she asked if he had asked her father for permission, he said yes.
Perfect Match's Kariselle Drops Hints About Engagement On TikTok
Since the last four Perfect Match episodes dropped, cast members began dropping heavier hints about their relationship status post-show, including Kariselle and Joey. They were required to keep their relationships post-filming a secret, although Francesca unveiled her new relationship before episodes aired. On her TikTok, Kariselle posted a video featuring the text, “POV: the final episodes of Perfect Match dropped but you still have to wait a few days until updates so everyone can catch up.” She is not wearing a ring in the video, but she did comment back, “FRIENDS not confirming or denying anything- but if I’m trying to avoid spoilers wouldn’t the first thing I do is not wear a ring?!” In her response, Kariselle revealed that the engagement is still on without expressly confirming or denying it.
Perfect Match's Joey & Kariselle Are No Longer Engaged
In an interview with Netflix Tudum, Joey revealed he is no longer engaged to Kariselle. Their relationship seemed too good to be true on Perfect Match, but changed in the real world. “You live in different places, you’re trying to get on the same page with each other,” Joey said. “I think that both of us really respected each other enough to be able to walk away from the situation and really give each other time, distance, space.” Joey has no regrets, and is glad that he and Kariselle were honest with viewers. “We love very hard, so the highs are high, and the lows can be very low." Joey explained, noting that the couple is "better apart," and wants to maintain a friendship.
Kariselle’s patience, sense of humor with Joey, and aligned values shone through every scene of Perfect Match. Although Joey and Kariselle had a rocky start to their initial relationship, their experience on Perfect Match allowed them the time to really focus on each other and where they wanted their relationship to go. They were clearly the only two people on the show who knew each other intimately, shared a similar vision for their life, and seemed entirely on the same page with each other about their hopes and dreams. Although the Perfect Match couple are not together anymore, hopefully they will still remain friends.
