It looks like Ewan McGregor isn't the only Star Wars actor who wants to reprise his role in a possible Obi-Wan Kenobi movie. Ever since Walt Disney Studios acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012, George Lucas' Star Wars saga has been reignited starting in 2015 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Episode IX slated for 2019 and mutiple anthology films like Rogue One and the upcoming Han Solo film.

Since the announcement of the anthology films, there has been overwhelming support for an Obi-Wan movie as the third anthology film. Now, actor Joel Edgerton, who briefly portrayed the younger version of Uncle Owen in the Star Wars prequels Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, is also showing his support for an Obi-Wan movie and trying to reprise his role as the moisture farmer in the possible film.

In the original Star Wars trilogy, Uncle Owen raised Luke Skywalker on his moisture farm after Anakin turned to the dark side. Owen was briefly featured during the conclusion of the prequel trilogy when Luke was dropped off on Tatooine as a baby by Obi-Wan. Now, in an interview with Business Insider, Edgerton, who is promoting his new film It Comes at Night, spoke about his thoughts on Owen and his aspirations for reprising the role and appearing in a possible Obi-Wan movie. Here is what Edgerton said:

"I like the idea that Uncle Owen is one of those guys who has done some super cool s--- but has just never bragged about it. My idea is that he could go out and have some adventure and then he comes back and slips back into that unassuming moisture farmer role. Everyone talks about Obi-Wan being super cool, Owen secretly knows that he was there, and he did some of the cool s---, too."

Edgerton isn't stuck on playing Owen though, in fact he's willing to play another classic character who has been in talks of having his own anthology film. Here is what Edgerton said about a conversation he had with Star Wars: Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow:

"I saw Colin yesterday, I was like, 'Dude. "Star Wars." Me.' And he's like, 'You have already been in the "Star Wars" world,' and I was like, 'Yeah, I could be someone else. My pitch to all of them is there's definitely some Owen possibilities, but also, I was only in the movie for a pinch of time. How about I play someone else? I can do Boba Fett. I'll just never take off the mask."

Although we don't know if Edgerton would make a good Boba Fett, we would love to see him reprise his role as Uncle Owen, joining forces with Ewan McGregor and going on Tatooine adventures in any future Obi-Wan movies Lucasfilm decides to make.
