Joe Rogan is arguably more popular now than he's ever been, thanks to his world-renowned podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. MMA fans will also know him for his contributions within the field, including his color commentary. And, of course, there's his stand-up career as well, which now includes 10 specials - the latest being Strange Times from 2018.

That said, Rogan has also dabbled in acting throughout the years and appeared in several TV shows and movies as himself. These are Joe Rogan's 10 best TV and movie roles, according to IMDb.

Zookeeper (2011) - 5.2/10

Rogan has worked with comedian Kevin James on a few separate occasions. Their first collaboration came about in 2011 when Rogan appeared in the James-led comedy Zookeeper.

Rogan plays Gale, the alpha male ex-boyfriend of Stephanie (who in turn is Kevin James' love interest). Unfortunately, Zookeeper didn't earn particularly good reviews from either critics or audiences, and it sits at just 5.2/10 on IMDb.

Hardball (1994) - 5.6/10

Back in the early 90s, Rogan starred in a little-known Fox sitcom titled Hardball. The show followed the players of a fictional American League hardball team called the Pioneers.

Rogan played Frank Valente, the team's cocky center fielder. Unfortunately, the show only aired seven episodes throughout the fall of 1994 before it was swiftly canceled, with two episodes even going unaired. Rogan would have to find his fame elsewhere.

Fear Factor (2001 - 06; 2011 - 12; 2017 - 18) - 5.6/10

Many would think that Fear Factor would have a higher rating, owing to its popularity. Fear Factor wasn't really a "role" for Joe Rogan, but he did serve as the show's original host and it was this program that brought him worldwide popularity.

Rogan served as the host between 2001 and 2006 and again when it was revived in 2011. Ludacris took over for Rogan when the show moved to MTV.

Bright (2017) - 6.3/10

When fans saw Joe Rogan in Bright, they thought they were having a fever dream. Not only is Will Smith's character watching an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience (something fans thought they'd never see in a mainstream film), but he was interviewing a blue orc.

Filming this scene must have been bizarre. Regardless, Bright didn't go over too well with critics, but general audiences seemed to enjoy it well enough.

Here Comes The Boom (2012) - 6.4/10

2012's Here Comes the Boom is a Kevin James vehicle that sees the funnyman training to become a mixed martial arts fighter. The story isn't really important - all that matters is watching Kevin James trying to do MMA. And an MMA movie wouldn't be complete with Joe Rogan.

Rogan has quite a substantial role, and to his credit, he's not half bad! It's definitely one of the better Rogan cameos out there.

Just Shoot Me! (2002) - 6.5/10

Just Shoot Me! The Cast

Back in 2002 (right after he landed the Fear Factor gig), Joe Rogan starred in an episode of Just Shoot Me! This sitcom ran on NBC from 1997 to 2003, picking up six Emmy nominations along the way.

Unfortunately, Rogan's guest role wasn't good enough to score him a nomination. He appeared as an exterminator in the sixth season episode, "A Beautiful Mind", which currently sits at a healthy 6.5/10 on IMDb.

NewsRadio (1995-99) - 7.9/10

Joe Rogan's most substantial acting role is that of Joe Garrelli on the NBC sitcom NewsRadio. NewsRadio was a workplace comedy that followed the professional and personal lives of the crew of an AM news radio station.

Garrelli was the station's electrician and handyman. The show ran for five seasons and 97 episodes between 1995 and 1999, and according to IMDb, Rogan is credited in all but one.

Chappelle's Show (2003 - 06) - 7.9/10

Dave Chappelle as Prince on Chappelle's Show

Chappelle's Show is a legendary comedy program and Joe Rogan actually appeared on it on two separate occasions. He first appeared in the first season episode "Reparations & NY Boobs", playing an uncredited cameo of himself.

The episode currently sits at 7.9/10 on IMDb - not one of the higher-rated episodes, but certainly a good score regardless. Plus, Rogan got to work with Dave Chappelle - that alone is priceless.

Silicon Valley (2014 - 19) - 8.8/10

Silicon Valley is one of the greatest comedies that HBO has ever aired. The show aired for six seasons and 56 episodes between 2014 and 2019, each of them even greater than the last. Unfortunately, Rogan only appeared in one episode - season 2's "Homicide" - but it was a great role nonetheless.

He once again plays himself - well, he provides his voice for a fake UFC fight (which just so happens to be incredibly choppy). He doesn't appear, but he's a part of a truly hilarious segment.

Chappelle's Show (2003 - 06) - 9/10

Rogan returned to the Chappelle's Show for the second season episode "Wayne Brady & Tyrone Biggums's Fear Factor", which many consider one of the best of the series.

Rogan plays himself, as Tyrone Biggums goes on Fear Factor. With this, Rogan became a part of comedy history, and this segment is one of the show's greatest and most popular. It's where the Tyrone meme was born, and fans were treated to such bizarre images as Tyrone reading a newspaper in a bed of worms and happily chowing down elk penis.
