The reality show Joe Millionaire has featured some noteworthy players this season, but the competition's setting is also grabbing viewers' attention. The picturesque property sits on Jackson Lake, in the small town of Jackson, Georgia. Cast members have been seen strolling on the stunning terraces, which feature lake views. They've also been spotted attending cotillion-style galas in the massive ballroom, or enjoying soaks in the magnificent pool. The Lakeshore Manor backdrop allows participants and viewers to immerse themselves in a luxurious lifestyle.

Lakeshore Manor, located just outside of Atlanta, has been home to the parties, tears, surprises, and drama that are part and parcel of this new season's Joe Millionaire. While not typically used as a residential address outside of the show, the Lakeshore Manor mansion serves as the living quarters for the female contestants until their eliminations. Bachelors Steven and Kurt stay together in smaller quarters on the property.

Lakeshore Manor was used as the living quarters for the bachelors and their potential love interests during the filming of Joe Millionaire. However, the sprawling estate is actually an event facility. Prior to the show, it was a popular wedding reception venue. The romantic atmosphere of the large and elegant ballroom and the more intimate gazebo, with its serene waterfront view, were ideal locations for couples looking to celebrate their special days. However, according to the Lakeshore Manor website, the property is no longer available for events. They still offer some services offsite, such as catering, photography, and event coordinating. See the manor in the clip below:

The Fox reality hit Joe Millionaire's exquisite Lakeshore Manor sits partway between Macon and Atlanta, in Butts County, Georgia. Butts County is famous for its inclusion in the Civil War Heritage Trail. It was part of Sherman’s path during his “March to the Sea” with the Federal Army in 1864. It is unclear if Lakeshore Manor has ties to the Civil War. The buildings feature European design, so that seems unlikely. However, many of its splendid gardens and stunning courtyards do have plantation vibes.

Jackson Lake, which is very close to Lakeshore Manor, is actually a large reservoir created by the Lloyd Shoals Dam, which was built in 1910. It still generates electricity today. Throughout Georgia's extended summer season, lake-goers enjoy a variety of water sports, including swimming, boating, paddleboarding, and water-skiing. The latest installment of Joe Millionaire was not the lake's first onscreen appearance. It was featured in the 2014 film, Endless Love, starring Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde.

Joe Millionaire is all about opulence and excess. Lakeshore Manor is an environment that provides that kind of luxury in spades. From the stacked stone fountain that each woman saw as she arrived at the manor on the first day, to the lake-view balcony where Kurt and Steven were introduced to their potential wives for the first time, no expense was spared when it came to choosing this temporary home. It's no wonder that the women are usually crying as they drive away in their limos after being eliminated. It must be hard to say goodbye to something so beautiful.
