The Muppets franchise has just been given a new logo for the first time in over a decade. Created by Jim Henson in 1955 and made famous by The Muppet Show years later, the now-iconic cast of puppet characters are a mainstay in popular culture. In addition to numerous television and film endeavors, The Muppets have also been incorporated into various attractions within Disney's theme parks, including Walt Disney World. The previous logo, introduced in 2011, featured an "M" made to resemble the appearance of Kermit the Frog, but after The Muppets Studio unveiled its new design last year, it seemed like only a matter of time before the franchise itself followed suit.

Now, The Muppets franchise has a new logo, revealed via Twitter. Bearing resemblance to that of the studio's new design, it appears in all-white text but retains its nod to Kermit by being surrounded in his famous shade of green. Check out the new logo below:

With The Muppets Mayhem coming to Disney+, the franchise continues to prove it can maintain its longevity. The overall positive reception towards last year's Haunted Mansion Halloween special also suggests that its crossovers with Disney property could continue. After receiving a new logo, it will be interesting to see what The Muppets franchise chooses to do next and how it continues to expand its reach.
