A new Jessica Jones season 3 teaser poster was revealed earlier today, and it's confirmed the third and final season will be coming soon to viewers. The second season of the Netflix/Marvel series premiered on March 8, 2018, and more than a year later, the anticipation could not be any higher for season 3.

Lead actress Krysten Ritter's performance as the titular character has been well-received all around. Unfortunately, this did not stop Netflix from cancelling Jessica Jones after season 3, along with the rest of the streaming service's MCU shows, following the ending of their original deal (which concluded with The Defenders). Given that Disney & Marvel will have to wait a few years before they're able to bring back some of these shows on the new platform Disney+, it's unknown if the show will continue after season 3 at all.

The official verified Instagram for Jessica Jones confirmed, via a new poster, that the final season of the show will be released soon. The poster shows Jessica's desk at her apartment/office, a nearly empty glass of what is likely whiskey, a pair of keys, a credit card receipt, and a bloodied business card for Alias Investigations. The poster reads, in bold letters, "The final season. Coming soon." Whether or not this is the just final season on Netflix, or altogether, is left ambiguous. Check out the poster and Instagram caption below.

The statement "new people are born" may imply that Trish (Rachael Taylor) will in fact experience a rebirth of sorts, as Hellcat, her superhero persona in the comics. The season 2 finale saw Trish develop heightened senses, one of Hellcat's superpowers. "People die" has a double meaning, likely referring to both Alisa's (Janet McTeer) death and Trish's metaphorical death as a sister to Jessica, after her successful assassination of Alisa. The poster and caption are scintillating, and only seem to amp up fan anticipation even more, with 44,526 likes, 1,173 comments and counting.

Each season has left fans and critics alike more than pleased, but the season 2 finale left viewers more eager than ever about the upcoming season. Fans have speculated that Hellcat will become an integral part of the new season, perhaps even as the villain, now that that spot is left unfilled in the finale. Jessica and Trish's relationship is strained, to say the least, after Jess witnesses Trish taking the fatal shot at Alisa, Jessica's estranged mother. So it will be interesting to see how season 3 explores this tension. Another relationship that season 3 will likely explore is the professional one between Jeri (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Malcolm (Eka Darville). In the finale, Jeri hires Malcolm as an investigator at her new self-owned law firm.

Although not much is known about the upcoming and potentially final season of Jessica Jones, this new poster may confirm more than what meets the eye. An official release date has yet to be announced, but fans can expect to see the binge-worthy Marvel show on their screens very soon.
