Krysten Ritter, who plays Jessica Jones in the self-titled Marvel show, cracked a Disney Princess joke with the release of the show on Disney+. The three-season series, which originally aired on Netflix came to Disney+ yesterday, March 16, along with all the other TV-MA Marvel shows, including DaredevilLuke CageIron FistThe Defenders and The Punisher. Due to the adult nature of these series, a Parental Control option was also added to Disney+'s features.

Jessica Jones centers around its title character, a trash-talking, alcoholic private investigator who wants to do good, but her goal first and foremost is just to make it through each day. She has post-traumatic stress disorder due to a tragedy, which ended her short-lived career as a superhero - she has superhuman strength and agility. The show gets its TV-MA rating due to its dealings with heavy topics such as violation and gore.

On March 16, the day these adult shows dropped on Disney+, Ritter took to Instagram and made a light-hearted joke about the transfer. Calling herself a Disney Princess, she promoted her show by saying "Go (re)watch [Jessica Jones] now streaming on her new home, [Disney+]." See her post below:

The arrival of these more mature Marvel shows to Disney+ has been heavily promoted, hyping up lots of fans. In fact, there has been some hope for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, to make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to his brief appearance as Peter Parker's lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home. There have been whisperings and rumors revolving around a new season 4 of Daredevil in the works over at Disney+, along with possible appearances in the upcoming She-Hulk and Echo shows.

The fact that Ritter took to her Instagram to joke and promote her Marvel series shows that she still looks back fondly at the project. Her character has one of the darkest and most tragic backstories of any Marvel character, which is one of the many things about the show that won over audiences. If Cox's supposed return as Daredevil bodes well with both critics and audiences, it is entirely probable that Ritter could return as well, possibly along with Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/the Punisher. Ritter's excited announcement certainly makes it seem like she wants to come back. After all, Jessica Jones would have a lot of interesting things to say about the current state of the MCU, what with the multiversal conflict and all.
