Here's where else you may have seen Iron Fist star Jessica Henwick. The actress made her debut in 2010 CBBC show Spirit Warriors, co-starring Benedict Wong. This fantasy series is notable for being the first BBC show to feature a mostly East Asian cast and it ran for one season. Henwick spent the years following the end of Spirit Warriors jumping between various movies and shows, including an episode of The Thick Of It, BBC drama Silk and 2015 noir thriller Dragonfly.

Jessica Henwick's first big movie came with 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where she played resistance pilot Jessika Pava. It was a relatively small part but - as is often the case with the Star Wars franchise - the character has a more expanded role in spinoff comics and novels. More movie work followed, including erotic drama Newness with Nicholas Hoult and dark 2016 thriller The Head Hunter.

Jessica Henwick joined the cast of Game Of Thrones in 2015 in the recurring role of Nymeria Sand, one of the Sand Snakes. The fan response to the Dornish storyline on the show and the Sand Snakes themselves were decidedly mixed, and the sisters later met an abrupt demise in season 7. This almost didn't happen in Henwick's case, as schedule conflicts nearly kept her from returning to the series; while it worked out in the end, apparently the showrunners wouldn't have bothered addressing the character's absence if Henwick was unavailable.

Jessica Henwick in Game of Thrones

In 2017, Jessica Henwick landed her biggest role to date with Iron Fist, playing Colleen Wing. She and Danny - AKA Iron Fist - become allies during the first season, and the character would also appear in crossover event The Defenders and made a guest appearance during season 2 of Luke Cage. In 2020 she appeared alongside Kristen Stewart in aquatic horror Underwater, about a team of undersea drillers trying to survive the appearance of mysterious creatures. While the movie was something of a box-office bomb during its initial release, it's already gained a solid cult following.

Jessica Henwick has some major projects on the way. She's part of the cast of 2021 monster mash Godzilla Vs Kong - which does exactly what it says on the tin - and will play an undisclosed leading role in highly anticipated sequel The Matrix 4. She'll also join Dylan O'Brien and Michael Rooker in the long-delayed horror rom-com Monster Problems; Henwick is part of the voice cast of Netflix's upcoming animated series Gods & Heroes too.
