Saffire Matos has posted her first photo alongside boyfriend and Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz Magro following his recent arrest. The picture was originally shared by Ronnie via Instagram Story prior to Saffire reposting it to that of her own. Ronnie was arrested in April 2021 on accounts of domestic violence allegations. Initially, the fans were under the impression that Ronnie's ex-girlfriend and baby mama Jenn Harley was involved in the incident. However, her boyfriend shut down those rumors. Law enforcement later confirmed that Saffire called the police asking for help after a heated argument turned physical between them.
Police officers revealed that Saffire Matos did in fact have physical signs of abuse at the time of their arrival. Ronnie Ortiz Magro was later released on $100,000 bail. He will also not be facing felony charges for the arrest. However, due to his daughter's presence at the time of his arrest, his custody rights could in fact be affected. Both Saffire and Ronnie released statements regarding the incident on Instagram before later staying away from social media for quite some time.
While many Jersey Shore fans assumed that Saffire Matos and Ronnie Ortiz Magro would ultimately end their relationship following this latest altercation, that does not seem to be the case. Upon her recent return to social media, Saffire posted her first photo alongside Ronnie since his arrest. As seen below, the photo was originally posted by Ronnie on Monday on his Instagram Story. In the throwback shot, Ronnie and Saffire were bundled up in winter jackets. They looked to be somewhere in the mountains. Ronnie included the Justin Bieber song "Unstable" in the post. He also tagged Saffire's Instagram account. In the photo, Ronnie added a gif of an angel's halo above Saffire's head. Shortly after posting, Saffire reposted the photo to her own Instagram story. On her story, Saffire added a blue heart emoji as well as the praying hands emoji.
Ronnie had also posted another candid shot of himself and Saffire laying on a bed together and laughing. Since he did not tag her in the post, Saffire only shared the first of the two photos. Even though there were some clues leading fans to believe that the couple were in fact back together following the incident, this is the first time either Ronnie or Saffire has posted a photo alongside each other since Ronnie's arrest. Over the weekend, Ronnie shared a cryptic message about soulmates to his Instagram Story, which was also seen on Saffire's account.
It is unknown if the couple did in fact spend any time apart from each other following the physical altercation. However, Saffire did post a TikTok video bashing Ronnie that has since been deleted. The photo of the couple in the snow is assumed to be from the mountains trip that Ronnie and the rest of his roommates recently took while filming. Saffire is allegedly set to make her debut on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation during the upcoming season, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.
