With all of the recent drama surrounding Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, fans are starting to think that his engagement to Saffire Matos was just a publicity stunt to not only better his damaged image, but to also make some extra money. When Ronnie first started posting photos from his engagement, he tagged the companies he worked with and their logos were also seen throughout the photos. Since Ronnie was arrested back in April for domestic violence allegations, both his reputation and career have gone to shambles.

Perhaps, Ronnie thought that by proposing to Saffire, ultimately proving they were happy together, he would be able to regain his reputation. Ronnie proposed to Saffire over Father’s Day weekend. He surprised her with a romantic picnic setup on a local beach in Los Angeles, California, where he currently resides. Rose petals were scattered on the beach with white letters spelling out “Marry Me.” The couple did not share their exciting news until two days after the proposal took place.

Both fans and Ronnie’s former Jersey Shore costars were left shocked by his engagement news. He and Saffire have barely been dating for a year and they are suddenly getting ready to tie the knot. But now, fans are starting to think Rommie's proposal to Saffire was really just a publicity stunt. After taking a better look at Ronnie and Saffire's engagement photos, the logo for the event planning company Ronnie hired for the setup can be seen throughout the images. For example, the company’s name was written on a small sign that also read “I love you.”

In addition to this, Ronnie also gave the jeweler he worked with on Saffire's ring a massive shoutout on social media. When asked about her experience working with the Jersey Shore star, she had nothing but surprisingly sweet things to say about Ronnie. She even claimed he had been planning this special moment for months. However, fans think the jeweler was paid off to say these things.

As if these were not enough reasons for fans to think Ronnie's proposal was a publicity stunt, not long after announcing their engagement, Ronnie began using the news to promote more clickbait articles. He even led fans to believe Saffire is pregnant, which they originally thought was the reason Ronnie proposed. Since announcing his departure from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ronnie has been posting numerous clickbait articles online. Not only has he used his engagement as a way to make some extra money, but he is also potentially using it to rebuild his broken reputation. In a way, it is as though he is trying to prove how happy he and Saffire are after another arrest.
