The original series of Jersey Shore ran from 2009 to 2012 with six wild yet hysterical seasons. Fans got to watch as the family of eight roomies went through all of the highs and lows over the three year run. As the breakout stars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, along with the rest of the famous roommates, traveled from the Jersey Shore to Miami to even Italy, some seasons ultimately ended up being better than the rest.

When Jersey Shore first started, eight strangers moved into a house together expecting a summer of partying and fun. Although they later formed a tight bond that they still have to this day, the cast did not always get along. In fact, it took some time for them to really connect with each other.

While certain seasons were better than the rest, each and every episode of Jersey Shore never failed to bring some type of laughter and drama. No matter where they were filming or what they were doing, the cast always managed to find themselves in the messiest, and drunkest, of situations. From bar fights to car accidents and even being arrested, they've done it all.

Season 6

Jersey Shore Season 6 Snooki

The final season of Jersey Shore aired in 2012. While fans were already disappointed that the show was coming to an end, they were even more let down by the lack of entertainment the final episodes brought. The family was slowly starting to drift apart. As Snooki neared the final months of her pregnancy, she moved into her own shore house with her now husband Jionni LaValle. It was becoming quite obvious that the roomies were over filming the show.

Season 5

Immediately after filming in Italy for a month, the cast headed right back to the Jersey Shore to film yet another season. The roomies were all noticeably drained from their back-to-back trips. So much so, Vinny Guadagnino left the shore house to spend some time at home while he dealt with his anxiety.

Season 4

Jersey Shore cast in Florence, Italy

Season 4 of Jersey Shore took place in Italy. The change of scenery brought much excitement amongst both the cast and viewers; however, the family trip turned out to be the biggest hot mess of the series. The trip to Italy brought much drama to the cast, ultimately effecting the roomies' overall dynamic. This season also brought much tension amongst the roomies and their significant others.

Season 1

the Jersey Shore house

While the first season of Jersey Shore is definitely iconic, it is not quite the best season of the show. This was the first time fans were introduced to the wild and fun guidos and guidettes. Although they instantly fell in love with each and every roommates (aside from Angelina Pivarnick as she was barely on the show) there was still so much to come from the group. They were still getting to know each other and forming the bond that they still have to this day.

Season 2

Jersey Shore's Ronnie and Sammi

Because the original eight roommates were not initially intended to return for a second season, production had to plan a last-minute trip for them after the show became an overnight sensation. Instead of waiting until the following summer to film season 2 at the Jersey Shore, the cast headed to Miami to film during the winter months. At this point, they had finally formed their close bond, ultimately bringing more humor (and drama) to the show. The highlight of the season was by far the infamous note anonymously written by the girls to Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola regarding her toxic relationship with Ronnie Ortiz Magro.

Season 3

The best season of the original series of Jersey Shore was season 3. This was the first season the cast headed back to Seaside, New Jersey, after the show became a hit. Viewers were also introduced to Deena Cortese, who took the place of Angelina after her second try at the the show once again did not work out. During this season, Snooki hit her all time low and got arrested for public intoxication. This was when her infamous line "Where's the beach" originated.
