Star of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Nikki Hall took to her Instagram story to explain her recent absence on social media. Nikki was added to the show after she began dating longtime star of the series Pauly Delvecchio. Nikki and Pauly first met on season 1 of Double Shot At Love, a show where Pauly and his best friend, Vinny Guadagnino, set out to find love.
Although the two had an instant connection, Pauly ultimately chose to remain single following the conclusion of the season. Pauly and Nikki reunited while filming season 2, during which they managed to work out many of their past differences. Not long after filming wrapped for the season, the couple quarantined together in Pauly's $2 million Las Vegas home. This newfound free time at home together gave the couple the opportunity to grow their relationship.
Both Nikki and Pauly tend to keep the details of their relationship quite private, despite continuing to be featured on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation together. Aside from the show, Nikki tends to be quite active on social media, but she rarely posts anything that involves Pauly. She recently took a brief break from posting, which ultimately left fans concerned for her well-being, as well as wondering about the status of their relationship. Nikki took to her Instagram story earlier this week to clear up any and all rumors sparked from her social media absence. She began the lengthy post with a PSA stating, "I haven't been because I don't care to post at the moment." Nikki continued on saying, "Life is beautiful and there's a lot more to it than reaching for my phone every 2 seconds."
Nikki has no desire to constantly inform her followers of what she may be doing or even what she ate that day. Many fans were not only commenting on her posts and messaging her, but they were also reaching out to Nikki's friends on social media to check on her. Nikki assured everyone she is "alive and well and blessed." While she does appreciate the concern, she feels the constant messages and comments regarding her well-being due to not posting are "excessive." The PSA continued on to note how "ridiculous" it is to assume something tragic and serious may have happened in someone's life solely based on their activity, or lack thereof, on social media.
Nikki concluded the post by encouraging fans to enjoy the summer without feeling the need to constantly be posting about it on social media. Nikki's appreciation for privacy is a majority of the reason why a spinoff show surrounding her and Pauly's lives would most likely never happen. Many fans agreed with Nikki's post, but they felt that sharing this lengthy PSA drew even more attention to the situation. On the other hand, it was somewhat necessary to clear the air due to the numerous messages and comments Nikki was receiving, as well as the speculations surfacing on the Internet.
