Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Sorrentino revealed the gender of their second baby. The college sweethearts reunited following the conclusion of the original series. They later tied the knot in 2018, just days prior to Mike's prison sentencing.
In August, Mike and Lauren announced they were expecting their second child together. Now, three months later, they revealed the sex of baby number two. Mike took to Instagram on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to share whether he and Lauren were going to continue being solely boy parents or welcome a baby girl to the family. Mike wrote, "ITS OFFICIAL, We have a Situation it’s a GIRL."
Mike And Lauren Will Welcome A Baby Girl In January
Mike and Lauren will be adding a baby girl to their family. In Mike's post, Lauren was dressed as if she was ready to go to a Great Gatsby-themed party. She accessorized her outfit with a pink boa to celebrate the news of their baby girl. The comments section of Mike's post filled with messages of congratulations, one even from Justina Valentine, who hosted the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation reunion special earlier this year. None of Mike's former roomies were seen in the comment section of the post.
Mike and Lauren's family will be growing with a new baby girl in January, which means their firstborn, Romeo, will soon become an older brother. Romeo turned 1 year old in May of this year. The soon-to-be parents of two threw an extravagant party for Romeo's first birthday at their New Jersey home. This means he will be just 16 months older than his baby sister when she is born. Mike and Lauren's baby girl will be the 11th child to join the Jersey Shore family. Nearly all the Jersey Shore roomies now have kids of their own. The only cast members that do not are Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick.
With the upcoming birth of Mike and Lauren's second child, the Jersey Shore family keeps growing. Neither Mike nor Lauren have commented on whether they have a name picked out for their daughter. The couple will most likely keep the name private until her arrival. With filming currently taking place for the next season of the show, fans will more than likely get to see an inside look at Lauren's second pregnancy in the upcoming episodes.
