Fans are speculating that Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola will soon be making her debut on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Sammi was one of the eight cast members on the original series of the show; however, she was the only one to decline the chance to appear on the spin-off series. Many believe her decision to not return to the show was based around being in a new relationship, as well as not wanting to be put in drama-provoking situations involving her toxic ex-boyfriend, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
When the roommates came back together to film the spin-off series, Sammi was in a relationship with Christian Biscardi. She seemed much happier in her new relationship than she ever was throughout her on-again, off-again relationship with Ronnie on the show. Christian proposed to Sammi in 2019. The couple was forced to postpone their big day numerous times due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, rumors have recently claimed the two have called off their wedding for good.
Now, with single Sammi back in the picture, there is a chance she will soon make her debut on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. On Tuesday, July 20, Sammi posted a Tik Tok promoting her new boutique, Sweetheart Coast Boutique, which had its grand opening last month in Ocean City, New Jersey. Amongst the 500+ comments on the short video, one fan begged Sammi to make an appearance on the upcoming season of the show which is currently being filmed. The user wrote, "Please make a surprise on Jersey Shore. Come back, we miss you, Sam." Fans were shocked to see Sammi actually "liked" the comment. While many fans have expressed their hopes of Sammi soon returning to the show, whether it be a cameo appearance or a permanent reoccurrence, this is the first time Sammi has acknowledged the idea.
Aside from this shocking acknowledgment of possibly returning to the show, fans have other reasons why Sammi could make an appearance on the series. Following Ronnie's recent arrest for domestic violence allegations, he announced he will be stepping away from filming for the show. Now, not only is Sammi single, but her toxic ex, who was the main reason she didn't join the spin-off series, will no longer be involved in filming. While it is still not clear whether Ronnie's absence from the show is permanent or just temporary, it still leaves room for Sammi to make a cameo debut nearly nine years after wrapping up the original series.
Unfortunately for fans, there is a high possibility their dreams of Sammi being on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will not come true. In addition to liking the comment regarding her return, Sammi also liked a comment claiming she is happier without the show, which ultimately sent mixed signals to fans. On top of this, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, who got engaged back in February, recently revealed in an interview that if she decides to film her wedding for the show, Sammi will not be invited out of respect for her privacy. Sammi is definitely leaving fans confused as to whether or not she misses being on the show; however, being newly single and knowing she would not have to interact with Ronnie may be two selling factors for her. There is not doubt her former roomies would welcome her back with open arms, as would viewers.
