With Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 4 now underway, fans have gotten to see some new faces. The season was filmed during quarantine. At the end of the third season, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi decided to quit the series, after giving the infamous speech with Deena and Jenni at Angelina Pivarnick's wedding. Snooki's departure led viewers to see some new faces on their screens, including Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's wife Lauren Sorrentino, and Deena's husband, Chris Buckner. There are also some appearances by Pauly D's girlfriend, Nikki Hall. With new faces joining the cast, it seems like fans have a lot to say, especially about Deena's husband Chris.
With all the drama going on between the female cast members and Snooki's departure, fans find it refreshing to see a new face of the group who brings some positivity. Chris has previously been featured on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation seasons two and three, but not as a main cast member, so this is something new for viewers to enjoy.
The 31-year-old father was first brought into this season when the boys double-booked Deena and Angelina at the resort the season was filmed at, so they could try and hash out their differences about the wedding. However, unbeknownst to them, Deena was pregnant and did not want to sit down with Angelina for that reason. This led the boys to think of a last-minute plan to fly Chris Buckner and the couple's two-year-old son CJ (along with Deena's mom) in, to try and calm things down. So far, fans have had a lot to say about Buckner's appearance on the show, with many fans loving the fact that they get to see more of him. It isn't unusual for significant others to be featured on the show, but viewers are used to seeing these partners in supporting roles, so this is a whole different thing. The 34-year-old reality star has also praised her husband Chris for going on the trip, as seen in the tweet below.
With Chris being featured more on this season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, the show has a different energy. His presence gives viewers the chance to take a peek at how Deena and Chris' relationship plays out when the show is not filming throughout the year, and to see exactly how they work as a couple. Although there has been a bit of drama this season, it seems like Buckner's appearance on the show has fans forgetting all about that.
Although fans are just starting to see more of Chris, they may not get to see him for much longer, as Deena hinted in an Instagram comment that this may be her last season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. With the couple expecting their second child together, it makes perfect sense that this season may end up being her last. The show will not be the same without her if she does decide to leave. For now, viewers have this season to watch. Although no official announcement has been made about her leaving the series, it is likely that she would like to spend more time with her family after giving birth.
