Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick is heading for a divorce with her husband, Chris Larangeira, as the latter filed for separation while citing irreparable differences. The duo's marriage has been under speculation for a while due to their rocky moments since tying the knot. Although she was the first to file for divorce in January 2021, it seemed Angelina was ready to make things work in 2022. However, Chris seems to have decided he wants otherwise.
Angelina recently opened up about the tumultuous issues she and Chris have been having in their marriage, mostly pointing out the lack of intimacy. The star made this known while appearing in a Zoom press junket for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 6. Angelina mentioned that the solution for their marriage problems was couple's therapy. She recalled that her spouse did not want to go for therapy, and she had to resort to realistic terms. Angelina noted that she presented Chris with an ultimatum, to either join her for therapy or opt for divorce. The 35-year-old stated that at that point, Chris mentioned that he would go for therapy. She also explained how she was in a solo therapy session that helped her quell the trauma of her own parents' divorce.
However, with his latest court action, it is safe to say that Chris and Angelina, who met in a local mall, might just have to call things off. According to People, Chris filed for legal separation in New Jersey on Thursday, January 20. The court documents showed that he cited "irreconcilable differences." The reality TV couple has known each other for a long time, but things turned romantic in 2016. However, it seems that their long history might not be able to save their union. Chris' wish for a divorce is one of many hints about the precarious state of their marriage. Angelina herself raised more speculation in October 2021 when she closed on a new home without Chris by her side.
The star shared several photos on her Instagram Story celebrating the remarkable feat of becoming a homeowner. While Angelina did not close the home deal with Chris, she was accompanied by Double Shot At Love star Jovanna Del Plato. The duo posed in different parts of the home, and Angelina thanked her pal for being with her on her big day.
Undoubtedly, buying a home is a big enough deal for loved ones to know, but it seemed the Jersey Shore star's spouse was unaware. Chris did not reference Angelina's home purchase on social media, leading fans to think there was trouble in paradise. Presently, it is clearer that Chris and Angelina might not hash out their differences due to the divorce clause, but fans will have to wait to see how it plays out.
