The divorce of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Angelina Pivarnick and her husband Chris Larangeira is expected to be dismissed after the case remained without a follow-up for months. Angelina and Chris tied the knot in November of 2019 during an extravagant celebration featured on the Family Vacation spin-off series. While the wedding ultimately caused an uproar of drama between Angelina and her co-stars, she and her husband were perceived as being happy together.
When the wedding drama was finally resolved over a year later, Angelina found herself caught up in even more issues, this time involving Chris. As seen in recent episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Angelina and Chris were dealing with numerous marital issues last winter, much of which were sparked by cheating rumors. These issues led to Chris temporarily moving out of the couple's shared home. He later returned to their New Jersey residence, where he and Angelina seemingly worked out their differences.
Earlier this month, news broke that Angelina Pivarnick had filed for divorce from Chris Larangeira back in January. Now, it is being reported that the divorce case is being dismissed. According to The Sun, Angelina quietly filed for divorce on January 19, 2021. However, the case has since remained without a follow-up for quite some time. Private documents obtained by the publication state, "This matter has been pending for four months without the filing of required documentation." Because neither party involved has given the court a follow-up, the court will likely be dismissing the case. It stated they "will dismiss the above case for lack of prosecution without prejudice."
Although fans were initially under the impression that Angelina was in fact going to go through with a divorce based on what was seen on recent episodes of Jersey Shore, there have been some clues that she and Chris are actually still together. Not long ago, the couple was spotted out together on a date at Ganga Asian Bistro, a restaurant in their hometown of Matawan, New Jersey. While out together, Angelina was spotted still wearing her wedding ring, which led many to believe the couple is not going through with their divorce. Both Angelina and Chris still follow each other on social media as well, which is a key indicator of their current relationship status. They tend to unfollow or block each other during fights.
It is unclear what exactly sparked Angelina's desire to file for a divorce back in January, but it is perceived it had something to do with leaked videos of her at another man's apartment. Angelina has denied claims that these videos prove she was cheating on her husband. Alas, neither Angelina nor Chris have spoken publicly about the current status of their relationship.
