Jeremy Renner is accused by his former wife, Sonni Pacheco, of threatening to kill her. The actor most popularly known as Clint Barton/Hawkeye/Ronin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was last seen on the big screen in Avengers: Endgame last April. The Joe and Anthony Russo-directed flick, which has become the highest-grossing movie, was the fifth time Renner played his superhero role. But as the actor's career seems to be going pretty well with a string of other movies outside of the MCU like Wind River, not to mention a recently-released album, his personal life is going on an entirely different direction.

Marrying Canadian actor and model Pacheco in 2014 in secret, the pair's marriage didn't last very long as they split only a year of tying the knot due to "irreconcilable differences." They share one kid, however, six-year-old Ava who makes occasional appearances in Renner's social media posts. Now, the young girl is also at the middle of a custody battle, and details of the latest filing from Pacheco make its way online.

According to a report by TMZ (via CBR), Renner is facing startling allegations by his ex-wife who accuses him of threatening to kill her. In the court documents obtained by the source, Pacheco claims that the Marvel actor stuck a gun in his mouth and shot the firearm into the ceiling while their kid was in the same room. She continues by saying that Renner uses cocaine which remnants he leaves on a bathroom counter where Ava can reach it. Pacheco filed a request for sole legal and physical custody of Ava prior to this new round of appeal. In this set-up, Renner is allowed to visit Ava, but it will be under supervision.

Jeremy Renner Weird Summer

In his response, Renner through his lawyer said that Pacheco's allegations were "one-sided." While it's worth noting that he didn't straightforwardly deny that these events took place, the actor maintains that Ava has always been his number 1 priority. A court hearing is set on November 7, while the former couple was also ordered to attend child custody mediation.  Read the full statement below:

“The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.”

At this point, it's difficult to gauge the situation considering that it's a case of he-said/she-said. But regardless of how this is going to be resolved (if it will be), it's Ava who's the overall victim in this legal tug-of-war that her parents are currently involved in. And since both Renner and Pacheco seem very concerned with their child's well-being, the best that they can do is resolve this issue quietly in quickest way possible.
