'Jeff Who Lives at Home' Trailer: Segel & Helms Handle Family Matters

Today we have the trailer for the indie flick Jeff Who Lives at Home, the new family comedy from writer/director/actor Mark Duplass and his writer/director brother Jay Duplass, the duo best known for the dark Oedipal comedy Cyrus with John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei.

In this new film, the Brothers Duplass take a look at the burdens of...well, brotherhood, and the bonds of family that help us through hard times and onto self-realization. With a cast that includes Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Judy Greer and Susan Sarandon, you can bet that people will be taking notice of this one.

Check out the official synopsis for Jeff Who Lives at Home below, followed by the trailer:

Dispatched from his basement room on an errand for his mother (Sarandon), slacker Jeff (Segel) might discover his destiny (finally) when he spends the day with his brother (Helms) as he tracks his possibly adulterous wife (Greer).

All things considered, the movie looks like a good mix of heart and laughs - and though people may sometimes overlook it, Segel and Helms are both actors who can bring some weight and emotion to their comedic performances (see: Cedar Rapids and I Love You, Man). Not to mention, both are just generally likable leading men.

Jeff Who Lives at Home will be in theaters on March 16, 2012.
