The ever adorable Jeff the Land Shark, adopted first by Gwenpool and the West Coast Avengers and then by Deadpool, had an epic series of hijinks in "It's Jeff!" Season One, and now Season Two of the endlessly cute Marvel Infinity Comic is on its way. First announced at San Diego Comic Con's "Women of Marvel" panel, Season Two of Jeff's Infinity Comic will debut in September 2022.

Jeff the Land Shark is believed to have been created by M.O.D.O.K. in his B.R.O.D.O.K. form, but was quickly adopted by the 4th wall breaking Gwenpool who forced her West Coast Avengers teammates to accept Jeff as an addition to their team. Since then Jeff has starred in many West Coast Avengers comics before Gwenpool gave him to Deadpool, out of fear that her solo-title would be discontinued, leading Jeff to have many adventures with Wade Wilson over the past few years.

"It's Jeff!" Season One and Season Two are written by the incredibly talented Kelly Thompson (West Coast Avengers, Mr. and Mrs. X) with consistently lovable illustration by the Gurihiru team (Avatar: The Promise, Superman Smashes the Klan) and have somehow made Jeff an even bigger fan-favorite character than he was before! The success of "It's Jeff!" clearly inspired Marvel to create more animal-based Infinity Comics such as Lucky the Pizza DogMarvel Meow, and Alligator Loki, all comics focused on enchanting Marvel animals getting into wacky adventures. The first season of "It's Jeff!" had so many cameos by beloved Marvel characters, from the entirety of the West Coast Avengers, to Deadpool, as well as his one time companion Elsa Bloodstone. While each comic is short, and typically textless, Thompson's stories and Gurihiru's art always perfectly tell the reader a story of Jeff finding an issue, and somehow solving it with his Land Shark smarts! Marvel's announcement of Season Two promises that Jeff's adventures will, "...take the Marvel Universe by storm (and sea) once again."

Marvel's announcement of "It's Jeff!" Season Two revealed pretty much nothing about the actual plot of Jeff's stories, and that is most likely because just like Alligator Loki and Marvel Meow, there really isn't much overarching plot to Jeff's stories. Each of Season One's 12 issues focused on Jeff adventuring with various members of the West Coast Avengers or other Marvel characters, getting out of tight situations, or finding ways to make his inherently scary shark look look more approachable to humans that he wants to cuddle with! One adorable issue saw Jeff getting a fish from a market but giving it to a hungry alley cat and it's friends, leading to them snuggling together, and it would truly be so sweet if Jeff and the cats of Marvel Meow partnered together. There are also some fans who believe that "It's Jeff!" and the other animal-related Infinity Comics are all leading to a reboot of Brute Force, a team of cyborg animals in mech suits that fight for environmental rights, which would be a really interesting direction to take Jeff in.

The announcement of It's Jeff Infinity Comic's Season Two is great news for fans of everyone's favorite Land Shark, and hopefully both Gwenpool and Deadpool will feature in more adventures when Jeff the Land Shark returns to Marvel Comics this September.
