Life, uh, found a way in 1993's Jurassic Park as Jeff Goldblum found a way back into our hearts. Now, the man himself is explaining the story behind one of his most iconic (shirtless) scenes in the film.

While Sam Neill and Laura Dern were billed as the movie's leads playing Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, the inclusion of Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm added some much-loved comedy to the dinosaur creature feature. Goldblum returned as the zany mathematician for the maligned sequel and will once again reprise his role as Malcolm in J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. However, it was his first trip to the park that had everyone fall in love with him - mainly due to one saucy scene and a shirtless Goldblum.

For those who don't remember, an injured Malcolm lay spread-eagled on a table with his shirt wide open as the park around him fell to ruin. The image became synonymous with the movie and even has its own brand new Funko Pop. Speaking to Yahoo, Goldblum revealed what was really going on:

"It's supposed to be Costa Rica, right? So, things are hot and I'm sure I'm in some sort of fever. So, all the logic is that we gotta get some of these wet clothes off immediately. As I remember, I don't think anybody fought me on that."

So, it wasn't just a much younger Jeff showing off his impressive physique then? That being said, the star definitely seems to be in touch with his sensual side, and in the same interview goes on to discuss stripping down in David Cronenberg's The Fly. Clearly not a man who is afraid to flash some flesh, roles like Seth Brundle and Ian Malcolm helped catapult Goldblum to stardom, so maybe showing some skin was the key to his success?

It makes sense that after outrunning a T-Rex and then being left for dead in the middle of the jungle, an adrenaline-pumped Malcolm may be a little hot under the collar. However, the response lacks that usual Goldblum comedy that he is so famous for in his interviews. Instead of some joke that he was auditioning to be a centerfold in Playgirl Magazine, Goldblum gave a reasonably normal answer for once. Well, he has had the past 25 years to think about it.

Almost as iconic as the final shot of the T-Rex roaring as the banner fell around her, the glistening chest of Goldblum had an inadvertent effect on the movie's audience and is just one of the reasons that fans can't seem to get enough of Steven Spielberg's original movie. These days, Chris Pratt is the rugged eye-candy, but fans are yet to see him strip off in the Jurassic franchise. While Goldblum's return as Malcolm will only amount to a cameo in Fallen Kingdom, who knows though, maybe the 65-year-old will be stripping off for fans all over again?
