Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has many bosses and mini-bosses scattered throughout the game to keep Cal on his toes and give players a bit of challenge, and some of these can be very difficult to defeat. Many optional big bads are hidden in side areas and can be missed if players aren't exploring as much, but then there are others that must be faced in progressing through the main campaign of the game. There is even a playful joke boss, Rick the Door Technician, who is a delightful addition to the game.

Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

While there are several optional bosses and mini-bosses throughout the planets that Cal explores in Jedi: Survivor, the majority listed here are not optional and must be dealt with in order to move the story forward and beat the game. These epic battles give Cal a chance to show off his powers and players an opportunity to sharpen their skills, but players should be prepared to face multiple deaths in a soulslike fashion with many of these combat situations.

14 K-405 Droid

The determined droid K-405 is the first boss battle in the story of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and, as such, isn't too difficult to defeat. The droid has a strong attack but moves slowly and is used as a good way of helping players understand the combat scenarios better early in the game. The droid's electrified baton gives players an incentive to practice dodging and blocking and get accustomed to the soulslike combat.

13 AT-ST Walker

The AT-ST is a fun sight for many Star Wars fans, and at first, it can feel quite challenging in battle. Following the example set in the movies, the All Terrain Scout Transport is vulnerable in its legs with its very flawed design. The AT-ST throws many grenades and missiles which players can also use to their advantage if they are sneaky enough with Cal's Force Powers in Jedi: Survivor.

12 Zeik

Zeik is a fairly short fight that occurs early on in Jedi: Survivor and is not too difficult after players get comfortable understanding his movements. He is one of the higher-ranking Bedlam Raiders and is found in Rambler's Reach Outpost on the new Jedi Survivor planet, Koboh. Players should beware when they see Zeik begin to glow red, as that's when a powerful attack is coming.

11 The Ninth Sister

The Ninth Sister Boss Fight With Cal In Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Formerly known as Masana Tide, The Ninth Sister is an early-game boss in Jedi: Survivor who Cal previously faced in Jedi: Fallen Order. In that earlier encounter, she lost her arm and now has a cybernetic hand, as well as an apparent grudge against Cal, as she uses her mind-reading powers to try to throw him off with her words. The Dowutin Inquisitor has Force Powers of her own and Cal will benefit from parrying a lot during the battle.

10 Tague Louesh

Tague Louesh is a Lieutenant of the Bedlam Raiders who uses both a double-bladed lightsaber and a very dangerous grapple hook. He is the final boss of the quest Research on Tanalorr and can be difficult to contend with. Cal may want to keep moving to avoid the grapple-pull attack.

9 Skriton

When Cal first gets to Jedha he will unfortunately come face to face with a large scorpion named in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as the Skriton. This boss is quick and has a large reach and players will want to dodge whenever it glows red. It's likely the player will need to use multiple stims, but once they get the rhythm of Skriton's quick and lethal attacks it becomes a bit easier.

8 Dagan Gera - First Encounter

Dagan Gera posed in an arena with red lightsaber

Dagan Gera is one of the stronger bosses Cal will face off against multiple times in Jedi: Survivor. A former Jedi Master during the High Republic Era; Gera was sealed in a Bacta Tank for 200 years and is revived during the events of the game. Though this first encounter with Dagan is less challenging than future fights, he is still a formidable opponent who can be challenging to defeat.

7 Drya Thornne

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Drya Thornne Boss Fight Ending Cutscene

Like Tague Louesh, Drya Thornne is a lieutenant for the Bedlam Raiders. Though this boss fight is a difficult one, particularly because of Drya Thornne's ability to turn nearly invisible, it also is a fight that will unlock Cal's Crossguard Stance. The Force ability to slow down time can come in handy during this battle, as well as using Force Push when grenades are being thrown toward Cal.

6 Rayvis

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Rayvis is a later-game boss fight that requires a lot of patience. He is the head of the Bedlam Raiders and gives players a true challenge in this boss battle. The Gen'Dai as a species are known to be very difficult to kill due to their regenerative abilities, and Rayvis uses many unblockable attacks. The fight occurs in two phases, and both are incredibly challenging.

5 Dagan Gera - Second Encounter

Dagan Gera and Cal Kestis in a lightsaber battle

The second time Cal faces off against Dagan Gera is more challenging as Dagan now has a double-bladed lightsaber and can orbit the blades around him to protect himself and cause damage to Cal as he gets close. Beating Dagan Gera in Jedi:Survivor in any of these encounters is a challenge, and it only gets harder as the game progresses.

4 Darth Vader

Darth Vader as he appears in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, with part of his suit on fire as he duels Cere Junda in her burning archive on Jedha.

Beating Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the most fun and epic battles in the game, however, given it's Vader, it is of course, also a very tough challenge, against a formidable opponent. The most interesting thing to note about this battle is that players actually will not be using Cal as their character but rather will play as Cere without the use of Force Powers. This does make the battle a fun one with its focus entirely on lightsaber combat, although, of course, anyone familiar with Star Wars knows that in the end Darth Vader will not be completely defeated, or it would make the movies a bit different.

3 Bode Akuna - First Encounter

Bode Akuna and Cal Kestis fight on speeders in Jedi: Survivor

Cal's friend and ally, unfortunately, ends up being a major boss for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The complicated and deep character Bode Akuna helps Cal quite a bit throughout the majority of the game while lying to everyone. The first battle with Bode is a gut-wrenching emotional situation as the truth comes out and this large plot point in the story is revealed. Cal must lose this fight for the story, yet players should try to stay alive as long as possible, despite not having access to any healing Stims.

2 Dagan Gera - Third Encounter

This final fight against Dagan Gera in Jedi: Survivor is even more difficult with additional elements added to it, but thankfully Bode is still a friend and assists Cal with a portion of the fight. Players will want to dodge a lot during this battle as Dagan uses a lot of Force projectiles, and it can be difficult to see when he is going to use an unblockable attack due to the lighting in the area.

1 Bode Akuna - Second Encounter

Cal Kestis holding his lightsaber at the throat of Bode Akuna in Jedi Survivor

The final boss battle of the game, and naturally the most challenging, is the second battle Cal has against Bode Akuna. This ending battle is different from many of the other bosses because Bode does not have Force Powers and uses a typical blaster and grenades for his attacks, but this doesn't make it an easy fight at all. The narrative points that players get after the ending of this battle sets up Jedi: Survivor for a sequel, although it also provides a satisfying end in its own right.

Though it's natural for many classic Star Wars fans to get excited about the battle with Darth Vader, he does not present the main big boss battle for this game that one might think. The heavily story-focused campaign provides a wealth of bosses for Cal to fight, but fittingly pits him against a former friend for the finale. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can then be played again in New Journey + mode for players who want to get more of the story or find collectibles they may have missed the first time around.
