Unlocking all the lightsaber colors in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn't like other Star Wars games, namely the Knights of the Old Republic series in which lightsaber crystals needed to be obtained across the galaxy, but by being different, the game is requiring players to be patient in order to get more lightsaber colors down the line. Of course, being a single-player game with a Jedi at the forefront, the biggest draw to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the lightsaber.

Lightsabers are famously the most identifiable weapon in the Star Wars franchise, an "elegant weapon for a more civilized age," according to Obi-Wan Kenobi. In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, players start the game with a lightsaber in their hand, which they use in a brief duel with the Second Sister. It's possible to unlock the double-bladed lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order quite early on, heading to the planet Dathomir. But after that, the next best thing is changing the lightsaber color.

In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, extra lightsaber crystals - for lightsaber colors other than blue and green - are unlocked after completing the crystal light puzzle in the Crystal Caves underneath the Jedi Temple on the planet Ilum. Once the puzzle is finished and the mission is completed, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will give players the option of choosing one of five colors - cyan, indigo, magenta, yellow, and purple - which will then be equipped on Cal's lightsaber. All of the other lightsaber colors will be available once Cal returns to the Mantis.

Blue and green lightsaber colors are available from the start of the game, and the only way to unlock the rest of the lightsaber colors is by simply playing through the game. There's, unfortunately, no other way to unlock or find them. Furthermore, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's orange lightsaber color is only available as a pre-order bonus. Given that it's the first time that the orange lightsabers have officially appeared in Star Wars canon - not Legends or the Expanded Universe - it's arguably the most sought-after lightsaber color in the game.

Does Jedi: Fallen Order Have A Red Lightsaber Color?

Of course, one lightsaber color that many Star Wars fans would love to use isn't available in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at all: red. Cal can't unlock or use a red lightsaber in the game; this is because Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a canonical story within the Star Wars universe, and while an RPG may allow players to use a red lightsaber color for fun, that would mean giving Cal the chance to wield a red lightsaber. And since he's a good guy in this story, that just wasn't in the cards.
