Ever since the launch of Disney+, it has been clear that the service is going to place a major focus on the characters and world of Star Wars. The Mandalorian has set an incredibly high standard for television shows on the streaming platform, and during the recent Disney Investors Day, the company announced countless new shows set in 'A Galaxy, Far, Far Away.'

One that has got a lot of excitement is the television series based around Obi-Wan Kenobi, which will bring Ewan McGregor back to the role. However, Obi-Wan isn't the only great Jedi that deserves his own series on Disney+, with several other heroes being perfect characters to explore in more detail.

Mace Windu

Mace Windu was one of the highlights of the prequel movies, with Samuel L. Jackson bringing a lot of energy to this particular role. With his iconic purple lightsaber and clear control over the force, Mace Windu was certainly one of the most popular Jedi of all time.

Because Mace Windu is so powerful and knowledgeable, he would be a brilliant character to lead his own series. Taking a deep dive into his journey prior to the prequels would make for a great series, with fans wanting to learn more about this character.

Anakin Skywalker

Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

The Skywalker family saga has been at the heart of all the Star Wars movies to this point, and the characters within that family really do drive the franchise. Therefore it would make sense for that to continue with a show focused on Anakin, possibly looking at some of his adventures in between the movies that we don't see.

Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Darth Vader for the upcoming Obi-Wan series and that could be enough to really build some interest around this idea. Taking the character back to when he was very much a hero, adding even more details into why he becomes frustrated with the Jedi Council.

Plo Koon

Attack of the Clones

Not everything that is created on Disney+ needs to utilize major Hollywood names or characters that have been featured heavily in the movies from the Star Wars franchise. The upcoming series based on Ahsoka Tano proves that, with her character's popularity coming from The Clone Wars television series.

Plo Koon does play a part in that series as well, where his character is developed further, and having his own Disney+ series could be intriguing. Not only is Koon a Jedi Master, but he's also a highly skilled starfighter pilot, which could add a different dimension to this series. Shining a light on supporting Jedi such as Koon would only open the Star Wars world up to newer stories and adventures, which is going to be necessary if Disney wants to keep expanding it.

Rey Skywalker

Rey Skywalker

Rey Skywalker might be one of the characters that have been showcased a lot lately, due to the fact she's the lead role in the newest trilogy, but that doesn't mean having her own Disney+ show wouldn't be great. Following what Rey does next in a more detailed manner would be very interesting.

She's a complex character with a huge backstory and given that she only really gets to grips with her powers at the end of the trilogy, it would be great to see her continuing to develop. The series wouldn't even need to rely too heavily on lightsaber action either, considering how fun her character was without one for a long period in the first place.

Ben Solo

Ben Solo

Speaking of the latest set of movies, another character that Disney+ should absolutely explore in more detail is Ben Solo. Throughout the majority of his story, he is showcased as Kylo Ren, as a villain who audiences should hate. However, in the end, the good conquers all, and Ben returns to the light side.

However, audiences were left wanting more when it came to Ben, and taking a journey back to the past when he was training with Luke would be the right way to go here. Disney could provide nostalgia by having Luke appear as well, all while also introducing other Jedi at the same time who trained with Ben.

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian season 2 finale

Speaking of Luke Skywalker, the most popular Jedi in Star Wars history recently made his surprise return in The Mandalorian. There's obviously a good chance he's going to crop up again in that show now that he has Grogu, but giving Luke his own specific series is something that many fans would love to see.

He's a character that is beloved and anything to do with him is always going to prove a popular decision with Star Wars fans around the world. With Disney pushing the CGI elements, there's no reason that Mark Hamill couldn't be used heavily as a younger version of himself, which opens up a lot of timeline opportunities.

Kai-Adi-Mundi

Kai Adi Mundi

Kai-Adi-Mundi is another Jedi who has often been seen in the background during the prequel movies but could easily step into the limelight for a Disney+ series. He's a wise Jedi who is certainly one of the strongest of all time in terms of ability and mastering the Force, and that would make him a great lead character.

Fans are ready to be given new stories and characters, and having someone with such a keen brain for strategy and planning could make for a different type of show. Disney+ is the perfect platform to explore characters such as Kai-Adi-Mundi in more detail, and it is one series that could really create some excitement.

Ezra Bridger

Ezra talking on a mic in Rebels

Ezra Bridger would be a brilliant Jedi to focus a Disney+ series on, as he has an incredibly interesting backstory and is a character that really could be fleshed out well over a focused show. He might not be a Jedi that everyone knows, but he could quickly become very popular.

The fact that he tangles with joining the Dark Side as well is what really makes things interesting with Ezra, as there is a real ability to tell a different type of story with him. Plus, having a show with Ezra could be a gateway to bringing back a live-action Darth Maul, which is something people have always wanted.

Yoda

The most powerful and highly skilled Jedi of all time, Yoda is an obvious candidate for his own Disney+ series. Because of his age, there are plenty of options in terms of storyline and setting for this character, whether it be prior to the prequels or what happens with him between Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Considering the massive popularity of Grogu (Baby Yoda) within The Mandalorian, it would make sense for Disney to capitalize on that even more by looking at Yoda as a character. Going on a full journey with Yoda would be an incredible process, and hopefully, that is one Disney+ would consider.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn was an excellent character from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but because of his death at the end of the movie, he's not one that got to be explored in as much detail as some of the other characters. However, that didn't stop him from becoming an important character in Star Wars history, and someone that audiences would be interested in seeing more of.

He's someone who is very well respected and highly skilled, therefore following how he got to that point would be fun to witness. Taking a look at Qui-Gon prior to that movie, potentially even bringing in a young Obi-Wan Kenobi to add even more excitement would be a gripping series.
