Amazon has released a new teaser trailer and poster for Jean-Claude Van Johnson that features a statue of the Muscles from Brussels doing full frontal splits.

Belgian actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is known for his numerous starring roles in martial arts films in the 1980s and 1990s. Van Damme gained a reputation as one of the industry's toughest martial arts stars with films like Bloodsport, Kickboxer, and Hard Target. The actor has also starred in fan-favorite sci-fi movies Time Cop and Universal Soldier. At 56, Van Damme has yet to retire from the genre and is still pumping out action movies every year with no sign of slowing down. The actor is also finding time to star in Amazon's new series, Jean-Claude Van Johnson.

A new teaser trailer for the series shows a large statue of Van Damme doing one of his iconic full frontal splits. The narrator of the trailer speaks about the actor in the style of a Ford commercial, calling the 'Van Damme' name a "name synonymous with toughness, with reliability," and "a name that inspires confidence, respect." The teaser ends when the man welding the statue takes off his helmet to reveal the face of Van Damme, who then admits that "this was a terrible idea." Take a look at the series' poster below:

The inclusion of Van Damme doing the splits is something that will surely please the actor's millions of fans who have watched the actor famously perform the move in movies like Bloodsport and Time Cop. The move also made headlines everywhere when Van Damme did the splits between two moving trucks in a Volvo commercial.

In Jean-Claude Van Johnson, fans will get to see the actor play a fictionalized version of himself who was once the world's best undercover private contractor. Now retired and living under the alias "Johnson," Van Damme will be brought back into the game after a chance encounter with a lost love. The pilot episode has received an abundance of praise on Amazon both from critics and from Van Damme's enormous fanbase.

In addition to Van Damme, the series features a cast that includes Kat Foster, Ian Fisher, Moises Arias, and Phylicia Rashad.
