Kristin Cavallari’s ex-husband Jay Cutler’s Instagram has been deleted hours after a picture of Kristin’s reunion with former Laguna Beach flame Stephen Colletti was posted to her instagram. The Very Cavallari star announced her divorce from former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler in April after nearly 10 years together and seven years of marriage. The couple dated for a year starting in 2010 before Cutler proposed in April 2011. They had a notoriously rocky beginning in their relationship, causing them to split briefly during their engagement before coming back together weeks later. The reality stars kept their reason for their first breakup under wraps, assuring fans they had worked through their issues and were ready for their happily ever after, tying the knot in 2013.
The “happily ever after” was broadcasted to viewers when the couple signed on for a reality show called Very Cavallari in 2018, featuring the Laguna Beach and The Hills alum, which followed Kristin’s ups and downs in her career, family, and marriage, as well as her and Jay’s three kids. In the latest season, cheating rumors surfaced between Jay and Kelly Henderson, Kristin’s best friend. Although Kristin dismissed the rumors, shortly after the season aired, the couple announced their divorce in April, fueling speculation whether there was any merit to the affair.
Fast forward to months after the split, and Kristin is sparking curiosity with Laguna Beach fans by posting a photo of her and former Laguna co-star and One Tree Hill alum Stephen Colletti. The picture shows Kristin sitting on his lap and is captioned “2004 or 2020?!” Fans went into a frenzy hoping the ex-high school sweethearts had rekindled their “on-again, off-again” romance that captivated young MTV audiences over a decade ago. But it seems not everyone was welcoming of the Laguna reunion, as hours after the post went live, Jay Cutler’s Instagram account mysteriously vanished. According to a source obtained by E! News, “In the wake of the photo, Jay was getting a lot of heat on social media. He was over it and deleted his account." It is unclear what kind of “heat” the quarterback was receiving, but it seems it was enough for the starlet to delete his account all together. It’s important to note that in 2018 Kristin stated on her Instagram stories that she was running Jay’s account.
It looked as if since the split, Jay was back to running his own Instagram, showing his life on the ranch he once shared with Kristin as well as a saga called “hunt for a chicken serial killer,” which documents his “investigation” into a raccoon that was killing off his chickens. But all that chicken content is now wiped off social media amidst the rekindled romance rumors. Even though Colletti has since denied those rumors and has maintained that his former flame and him are just friends, it seems as if it was all too much for Cutler to handle.
Fans will have to wait and see if Cutler’s Instagram resurfaces after the heat has died down. Even though Very Cavallari has since been cancelled, Kristin is sure to keep things interesting on her Instagram account as fans stand by just in case there are more Laguna Beach throwback photos to come.
