Jason Momoa becomes a dedicated NBC Page in a new promo for his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live. Momoa is hosting the live sketch comedy series to promote his upcoming Aquaman standalone film.

Season 44 of Saturday Night Live started off with Star Wars star Adam Driver hosting with Kanye West as a musical guest, and it involved some slight controversy as West gave an unaired rant about being a Donald Trump supporter. Leslie Jones had previously hoped that SNL would focus less on politics, but that doesn't appear to be happening, seeing as every episode this season has started with a political cold open. This season of SNL has been getting mixed reviews from fans, but has still secured many popular celebrities and musical guests to appear on the show. Recently it was revealed that Momoa would be hosting SNL for the eighth episode of season 44, and now NBC has released a new promo video for this episode.

Posted on the official SNL YouTube page, the promo begins with an NBC Page - an intern that works in different departments at NBC to get experience in the field - telling Momoa to man the phones while he takes care of an emergency. Momoa seems thrilled with the new position, and immediately gets a call regarding a question to which he doesn't know the answer. Momoa quickly sets off to figure out the caller's question, which includes a series of physical stunts that include punching Beck Bennett, breaking into Lorne Michaels' office, and breakdancing his way through security lasers. The promo ends with Momoa coming to the realization that the show is recorded live, which turns out to have been the caller's question. The full promo can be seen below.

Momoa is probably best known for his role of Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman) in the DC film universe, as he has already starred as the character in both Justice League and in a brief cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, he has also appeared in Game of Thrones and the remake of Conan the BarbarianWhile Momoa had already been an established actor prior to being cast in the DC Extended Universe, he is getting the opportunity to host SNL this Saturday to promote his upcoming movie Aquaman, which will be released shortly after the episode airs.

Although season 44 of SNL has been getting mixed reviews thus far, having Momoa will more than likely boost ratings given the anticipation for Aquaman. Aside from advertising the next episode of the show, this promo also gives fans a taste of what is in store in terms of Momoa's comedic chops. If the actual episode of Saturday Night Live is anything like this promo video, fans will be in for a treat when the episode finally airs.
