Jason Momoa's dream DCU project is happening, and the mystery movie could be Justice League 2. A new age for the DC Universe is here now that James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge, and it has largely been met with a positive response from fans and those involved in the shared universe. This includes the tease that one of Jason Momoa's DC dreams will come true thanks to their leadership. The quote sparked speculation about what the Aquaman star and DC Studios could have planned for the future, with much of the theories revolving around a new DCU movie.

One of the most obvious possibilities for Jason Momoa's dream DCU movie is Justice League 2. It might seem strange on some level to suggest that a Justice League sequel is something that is a top priority for Momoa. However, it is important to remember that it did not go smoothly between Zack Snyder's exit and Joss Whedon's reshoots. Momoa even supported Ray Fisher's claims about the mistreatment the cast endured. Since the star has since brought Ben Affleck's Batman back for Aquaman 2 and filmed Peacemaker's Justice League cameo, it seems re-assembling the team is something he is interested in. Justice League 2 can bring the whole group back together again.

There are currently no confirmed plans for Justice League 2 at DC Studios, but co-CEOs Peter Safran and James Gunn must change this. It is known that they want to use Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman more and lay a new foundation for the shared universe. Now that Henry Cavill is back as Superman after Black Adam, there is some form of plans for five of the six original Justice League members to come back. DC Studios also has several other new heroes who could join the team, such as Shazam, Blue Beetle, and Hawkman, if the team's roster needs to change in some form.

Assuming that Gunn and Safran are able to help build up the DC Universe, a massive event movie that brings the Justice League back together is essential. It would be quite strange if the franchise continued to let its most recognizable team of heroes sit on the sidelines or have the Justice League members' futures only include supporting roles in other projects. The cast deserves another chance to be in a movie without massive production issues. Justice League 2 can be the conclusion of the first four years of Gunn and Safran's leadership at DC Studios and a chance to re-introduce the team to audiences so they can play a bigger role in the future.

How Justice League 2 Can Be Jason Momoa's Dream Project

Bringing the entire Justice League team back together could be the simplest explanation for Justice League 2 being Jason Momoa's dream project. He has close friendships with many of the stars and seemingly enjoys working with them all. There is also the chance that the specific story that could be told will turn Momoa's dream into a reality. For instance, he could finally appear in a movie with Dwayne Johnson if Black Adam is Justice League 2's villain. The film could become an even bigger example of wish fulfillment for Momoa potentially if Zack Snyder returned to direct Justice League 2, possibly as a way to wrap up the SnyderVerse story.
